Glory Ranking and Matchmaking make no sense

Our alliance was just paired with another alliance that was overall WAY higher level than us. They had 6-7 Global players to our 2, and the lowest they went was Enlightenment while we had 5-6 Gunpower and even a Medieval. The entire war has been a lopsided mess.

All of this is fine, and I understand that steamrolls may happen from time to time, but for this war we lose twice as much glory for a loss than we gain from a win (+273/-539). That implies we are the favorite in this war, which is complete nonsense. How the hell is the case?

We are in the same shoe, we have just been matched with Hobbit Zombies, And I still can't phathom out how such a one sided match up is considered fair.

The glory at stake is +365/-608. GailWho, We are matched against your alliance and I would like to have your take on the match up. At this rate I might opt out of wars altogether.

They probably just took the code from multiplayer because the matchmaking works just fine there. All hail the Elo Rating System.

Dammy I feel your pain... We see more than our share of this lopsided matching system and it stinks! We just came off a bad match with a base stacker. Lost 712 glory. We were 400 points from being in top 100. But as you can see we didn't base stack. Our line up are our regular guys... Active players who try their hardest to compete. It's the matchmaking system that's broken. We'd much rather attack an alliance that was our equal. Nb4powerup. What are you guys doing about this. It's getting rediculous !!!

What goes around comes around, the rough with the smooth so to speak, we have had some insane match ups and sometimes we get easier match ups. I have no idea what stupid system Nexon have to figure out match ups but it's your Donald Duck. When your lucks in take advantage, when it's not try your hardest, but when you have a developer that can't even figure out how to fix crashing after nearly 2 years what chance is there of assuming they will sort out matchmaking, none really.

Dammy, its always fun to war with forum alliances.. One of the best aspects is that you can ask for intell on how your opponents attacked your bases. Zombies always happy to discuss. Im not in this one but will be watching excitedly from the sidelines. Us zombies may look scary but you guys have a tough line up and Im hoping it will be a close match

Yeah, We have also been close to the top 100 a number of times only to get really tough match ups like this one which is a shame really because pound for pound I really believe our alliance is one of the best war alliance. Looking forward to it all the same and it good to face an alliance which plays fair.

*clears his throat* that available glory is nothing to do with matchmaking. 12k is the baseline. Those at the top of the leader boards don't have as good of available glory on alliances at the bottom as they would matching a top ten alliance. Those with 12k glory have skyscraper availability cause they aint got none! The more glory an alliance has, the more of it will be available for the opponent.

I would like to know the glory point you guys stands to gain or lose, Is it the reverse of ours?

Im pretty sure it is. Once I checked an alliance score after we beat them and it was the exact amount of what we had in that Red number.

Yes it is opposite. But a win for us still won't make up for the loss against Tercio Viejo. Take it from me Dammy don't dwell on the glory points. Just have fun, concentrate on beating us and worry about the glory later. That's what we do every war

Same here...we were matched up with an cheater alliance on 20vs20 where their top 6 guys have lv13 walls, lv40 generals and lv6 coalitions, and we lost 633 glory points as a result!

p.s. the glory points at stake is +1xx / -633 and we were having 15459 glory points before the war
