Putting aside the fact that upgrading your roads will allow you to jump several levels and get you to cold war age faster than any upgrades ever will, I had a curious comment regarding it. Assuming for the moment that you don't care about the issue of time, would it be better just to upgrade traps and defenses to get to cold war or should one just use the roads. Offensively there's not much for me to upgrade other than generals but I don't really want to upgrade them. I'm currently 200 atomic and just pondering the idea of going to cold war age. Most of my traps are level 7/8/9 and Sams are level 2 so I can definitely keep upgrading them to get a good amount of levels. My Anti air guns are maxed and I'm finishing most of my anti tanks guns off to max. My towers and mortars however are still someone low level so I can always upgrade them as well to get levels. The only reason it requires a little thinking is that I'm the number 1 base in war and will always be for the foreseeable future. When we win wars that are very tight, it's because my base holds out at the very end being that I toss on level 7 def coals and many wars I get attacked at least 3-5 times. I also smash the hardest bases of course but that's always been a gimme. So I wonder if I should upgrade defenses until to get to cold war thus helping our war efforts as well because I feel a responsibility to the alliance war effort. There's also the war weight that's added because of it while roads don't affect it (I believe). I don't know if the war weight will change much of anything match wise. I would love to hear some insight and thanks in advance
