Having played the game since March and benefited from this forum equally long, I felt an urge to register for the first time and chime in a bit. There is no doubt this game has many problems but we need to give BHG some credits that they've admitted them and are working hard to fix them. Some of positive things I've seen are:
- Mod is much more responsive now (IronAngel did a decent job)
- There is a list of known bugs posted to show BHG did recognize the issues
- Tim Train came out to explain hot issues
- Broken treaty - Tim is working on it personally
- Cheaters - they banned a bunch of them
- Game AI - they did listen and adjusted some even though it is still not perfect
On the other hand, it goes without saying that there are much more BHG needs to do. First and foremost in my opinion is to communicate and be more transparent with the players.
- For example, I remember someone had a good suggestion about adding a report button to flag cheaters. But there was no words from BHG whether this is something they can do
- The force close issue, I understand that it is hard to discern from a real crash but someone had good mitigation idea like granting loot in the end game etc.
- The no opponent issue is probably due to the way the game is currently designed. First is to recognize it and provide update on what is planned in BHG.
- Etc.
In any case, writing "BHG sucks, I won't buy crowns" etc. is not going to go anywhere. My 2 cents is that we focus on ways to improve the game and follow up regularly if there is no response from BHG. At the same time, just like any customer facing jobs in the real world, often problems are not a problem. Lack of response on problems is.
