I get so frustrated fighting a defending Zhukov. No matter how many times he hits my generals or how close my generals are, they wont target him. How can I get my generals to fire back at him? I’ve tried distracting with decoy and using AR to refocus aggro. It seems my generals and troops won’t target the Zhukov until he is the last troop within range and even then sometimes wont fire at him.

what do you guys do to kill a defending Zhukov?

Tried that, and thats usually what I have to do. Takes 8 maxed CWA fighter planes with uni and museum buffs 6-8 strafing runs to kill Zhukov. Not realistic if any anti air or towers are active in the area. And even if not. zhukov has done his damage by the time my fighters kill him.

looking for advice from people who know how to handle him.

For reference, I am CWA with lvl 60 Churchill, lvl 55 Joan, and lvl 31 Napoleon. I just got wiped by a lvl 49 Zhukov. All surrounding buildings were destroyed, enemy zhukov was within melee range, and my generals still wouldn’t target him. Even after taking damage from him.

If the defending Zhukov is firing at your troops from behind a wall, they won't target him even if he's within range. With RPG+Commandos I never really found Zhukov hard to deal with. Just fish all the troops out and kill him along with the rest of the generals outside the walls of his base. That might sound a little brief but that's literally all it takes for me.

Draw SH, TC, RA, and Fort defenders with Decoy -> Deploy Mercs & wait until all Fort generals have spawned before deploying my own generals(to ensure mercs take the aggro when decoy expires). Then of course, followed by the usual appliance of rpg + commando method.

If you run HT mk7s against a high-level SA base, you've pretty much already lost bc you lack satellite scan to disable traps to clear initial paths for the HTs.. On top of defending Zhukovs safe inside enemy walls. Assuming you have really good war museum, you're still at a disadvantage.

Curious what kind of army you roll with. If you're open to share more info, i may be able to tune a better suggestion for you

Thanks viceroy, thats good advice. I’ll give that a shot. I figured that was the case for shooting over walls. The weird thing is that I cant seem to get my generals to target him even if he is in the open. I have a screenshot of it but can’t seem to attach it here.

For reference, I am CWA and I run 3 HT mk7, 3 infiltrator, 11 heavy RPG, and a few MGs. My generals are churchill lvl 60, joan 56 and napoleon 31. Napoleon is low because I’m trading him our for hannibal when I unlock him in two months
