Ehh, it's not just cheating. It's war matchmaking, AI, unfixed bugs, lack of communication. Things like more whale bait, in the form of this museum, being introduced without a hitch while a core component of the game like chats/donations languishes for getting near to a month with little-to-no fixes.
No, this game isn't on its deathbed. It pretty much runs itself at this point. Hence why some bugs languish for weeks/months. There's no sense of urgency to fix anything because when it costs more to keep the lights on/servers running than the game brings in they'll just quietly sunset it. Actually fixing/improving things that would take time, money, human resources to fix isn't nor will ever be on the radar. Not when the next $100 legendary artifact needs to implemented. Yeah, it's a business and all freemium games cater to whales, this one just does it pretty much exclusively.
Don't know if the game's long term and short term woes can be laid at the feet of the developers or publishers. Pretty sure the lack of communication and bug fixes is Nexon company policy though.
If someone took the good concepts of this game, rallies, sense of history, ''real world'' (for lack of a better term) units/buildings, etcetera and combined it with an actually responsive and responsible development and customer service team I'd be gone in a second.
All I can say is kudos to the people responsible for creating a game concept good enough that people are willing to overlook its many issues. Yet it's a damn shame that this good game seemingly doesn't want to achieve greatness. Or in some cases, bare bones functionality.
