How to check instant retrain status before battle?

Is there any way to check BEFORE a battle whether I'll be able to use the instant retrain feature right after it? Or what the countdown timer is before it will be available again?

Loose 1 soldier in single player campaing and try to retrain

That would cause a loss of medals too.

So basically no way to check the instant rebuild status?

I think he was talking about the campaigns, not multiplayer. Fertile Crescent, Ruling The Nile, etc. Medals aren't affected by them.
Someone tried to help you, a 'thank you' would've been a good idea.

Drop a troop in single player campaign mode or donate something to your allies to get the ability to check the retrain screen.
