Important question for Muet

Hello, we’re getting mixed answers from CS to this question about war generals. Please take a moment and explain to clear this up.

I presently have Churchill, Joan and Napoleon all at level 70. My General Z is presently at level 68. When my General Z reaches level 70, which of my 4 generals would automatically go into my Pentagon during war?And for other players in a similar situation, what is the criteria and general rule as far as which general goes into the Pentagon? I’m hoping you can clear this up for us once and for as many players are confused about this.

Thank you, Dradis

Someone (sorry don’t remember who) posted that the generals active on your base go into the castle when the war starts, and the next highest general goes to your pentagon. Sounds pretty easy to test.

edit: found it

Actually if a player has more than four level 70 generals, the game will use what he has activated on his base when war begins. We have a player in our alliance who has done this. Not denying there are still cheaters out there, but having Zhukov in fort doesn’t require that you be one.

I think when all generals are on the same level, the newest generals are activated. I mean those that are unlocked latest.

I have realised that what annoys me most about the game is the almost complete lack of communication with us customers. If they´re not able to answer questions and explain how things work in their own forum then I have to ask why there even is a forum.

I asked around when I saw this question and one of our engineers had some fun digging through pretty old code to try and get a conclusive answer. It looks like the reality isn't based on any designer-driven logic chain. Rather, there's some legacy code that prioritizes based on data entry order (and that order might even differ based on the building we're talking about; Fort v Pentagon). Not the best system, admittedly.

Zhukov and Hannibal have both been released since I joined BHG and I consider them to be fairly successful twists on what a General means to DomiNations. I'm interested in continuing to expand what Generals can do as we move forward. So, making sure we have a clean assignment system is likely something I'll revisit with the team in a future release.

Muet, as usual thank you for taking the time to respond. Seems CS is confused about this as I’ve received 3 different explanations in one day. Speaking with some peer players they’re also confused and some upset after taking advice from CS. I personally won’t fall into that trap. My GeneralZ is now at level 69 where he will now stay to assure he go’s into my Pentagon. Hopefully others will do the same until this situation is cleared up. Again, thank you. Dradis

I too appreciate the rapid investigation and response time, @Muet. I do have an ally with five level 70 generals that he slavishly raided for over time. As I posted (and was quoted above - thanks!) whichever four he has active in his town base when war starts is what is used in the war.

I must of missed something in Muet's response as I don't see an answer to the question or is he saying he didn't know due to some very old coding?
