Wait, your saying that tanks are better or worse than hc, because their weakness is supposed to be cannon towers. This shouldn't make tanks unusable, just like ballistas don't make hc unusable. Not understanding the "numbers breakdown" if anything more tanks should mean greater firepower, so ballista scan be destroyed quickly. And what about heavy tanks, which have massive health and a thousand damage? You can bring 5 per raid (25 troop space)
This quote is all over the place. Heavy tanks are useless because training blessing doesnt work on factories so it takes too long to train stuff if ur regular barracks are replacing ur entire army then its possible to offload a unit or two from barracks to the factory and save a small amount of time on ur overall train time. But thats for the gattling or guerilla. Heavy tank doesnt fit that role.......tanks have less effective hp compared to cavalry because stuff like cannon will waste some of their dps on cabalry by overkilling them. Both tanks and cav are basically immune to mortars and redoubts. But tanks are more vulnerable to cannons. Which makes cav the better bullet sponge. Combine that with tanks hanging back do to their increased range and now ur infantry are taking direct shots being the closest target. And even ur artillery and fusiliers will take splash damage from tanks being closer to them. In return for all this lost bullet sponge aggro functionality u lose im the tank. U get 11% more dps and a high alpha attack. I prefer the spongier cavalry than the dps'er tanks. Defense buildings die fast enough once u start hitting them. Thats not really a big plus in my book

This analysis is showing how difficult it is to fit in between CoC tank unit role and an actual tank. That's why I liked a lot approach of the second damage dealer HC could perform in addition to tank role right after the first buff. I advised to develop this approach considering multi nations and historical game roots, but they decided that it is too risky and requires fixing of too many parameters and nerfed it back. So, in the IA we received a hybrid unit which has weird set of features. Tank/distraction unit with RANGE which can't break walls in mixed army and also can't distract efficiently? If it becomes good - it starts steamrolling bases. If it can't, it becomes bad. If they took approach of the second damage dealer they could balance it till now.

Its not that hard. The cav should be a sponge. Every upgrade should be an hp buff. This was an hp nerf and a dps buff...which ok until u give it range and then its sitting in the back with the artillery while the infantry become the sponge again. Im exagerating how far back its hanging and how spongey the infantry have now become. But it gets the point across. Its not that hard to balance i just have to really...deeply understand how the changes will play out. For my part. Im not upgrading the cav until right before global on the assumption that cav upgraded twice will be actually better.

Your theory is hard to understand, is all I'm saying, while cav work as tanks, ia tanks are actual tanks, and should act like em. Not giving tanks range is a weak excuse for the to be sponges, furthermore , it's completly accurate for tanks to do much more damage. I don't care about a sponge, I just want a fully capable unit. As for heavy tanks, I'll probably use em, but dat troop space.... Anyway, they aren't invalnerable, 4 ballista sis crazy
