Noticed attacking couple of bases in world war, their splash damage is pretty potent especially against infantry and riflemen. I had to use betrayal to neutralize them quickly. Another stupid anomaly that should be nerf'ed...

Mortars do have a large splash damage, but there is certainly no need to nerf them. They are all but useless on offense as ranged units kill defenders far better and siege units destroy buildings far better.

Mortars are traditionally close support fire for your infantry and also used to take out enemy infantry - for that purpose they're perfect for defence. If you have something that can neutralize them then use it - but calling for a nerf every time something kills your troops ....?!!!
What's next - we nerf defensive towers because they shoot at our tanks? We nerf traps because they spawn men out of nowhere? We nerf flak guns because they shoot our planes ??!!!
Rule #1 in this game: troops die.

After thinking about it, I agree that it should not be nerfed as we need better defense in game. Cheers

No offence... but nerfing the mortar troops is a joke. They may be a good donation alternative if you can't fit a canon in, but super....they are not. =)
