It's suddenly almost impossible to destroy opponents in raids

Now I'm only in the medieval age but I've been doing pretty well until something changed recently. I was sitting a little over 1000 medals and inching my way up everyday. Now, it's become almost impossible to overcome any opponent I face. My troops get masacred even when facing a foe a few days ago I would have thought to have been woefully unprepared for the fight. I am now almost exclusively match with nations that are one or more ages ahead of me that I no longer have any chance of defeating. Until a few days ago, I was able to take nations in the gunpowder age fairly regularly. I also post never lost against enemies in the medieval age. Now, I can barely take anyone... What gives?

Defenders got stronger. Defense buildings got stronger. Heavg cav and infantry and cannons were nerfed. So defending in general is easier. Besides that ur a medieval player at 1000+ medals so no matter what you would have hit a ceiling where progressing further would be difficult

I sadly have the same experience : I'm in early gunpowder era ; I loose all my troops in most of my fights, meaning fights cost me food whereas I should find millions of food to upgrade and I have to wait 20min before attacking again.
When I manage to destroy ennemy defenses, there's no time left to plunder ressources.
I'm driven to sacrifice a few soldiers on ressource building outside walls and immediatly retreat from fight.

And it is not my sad little at stake :
- players don't dare to attack anymore
- ressources are scarce

When i was gunpowder and lower i hunted in the 200 medal range. When u get to enlightenment then its time to move up to 2000+ medal range. Early gunpowder age is still basically maxed out medieval in terms of offense power. Not that strong really

I hardly ever deploy my full army since the update. I snipe town centers and storehouses, then do a 15 min animal/gathering which nets 250-700k gold and 250-350k food, as well as about 60 Ronins worth of leather and fur in enlightenment

I need to know a thing: a guy attacked me, destroying my base (classical age, all the defensive building and wall put on field) in about 1 minute, like Towers and Garrisons and Walls were completely useless, there was no way to defend the base of mine, simply as that. For me he cheated, but the forum admin says "no". I had a 5 stars defeat, and 14 hours of peace. Now the peace time is over, I would like to have a revenge but the button "Revenge" never appeared, so I cannot respond to the attack of this one. Is it normal ??? I would like to "revenge" before leaving the game, why the button does it not appear available???
