It's time to discuss betrayal

I'm pretty sure a lot of people had thought about betrayal tactic after the stage 3 patch notes were released. So let's share our thoughts.
I've made some attacks with the couple of betrayals and here's the result: my main goal is to let defending HTs destroy its own bunker and be a piece of meat for a silo. First part is easy to do, but the second one hardly works out. At active CWA bases those dHT (d - defending, taken by betrayal) loose their hp pretty fast. They do have increased hp, but they don't have splash damage and get stuck by multiple defenders. Only dHT attacks against AA bases worked well for me so far.
Another two drawbacks are: first - betrayals are seriously layout- dependent, if a base has a couple of anti-tank guns near a bunker, you need to spend your planes to clear them, but it's better just to skip this base; second - when you meet an abandoned base, your betrayal becomes useless, since the bunkers are empty, and you can safely kill factory HTs with your planes since nobody puts a factory in the middle of his base.

Whoops. Came in here thinking this was another thread about Nexon betraying its players to implement yet another naked money grab. My bad.

Needing to think about tactics is entirely the issue. For far too long players would use multiple decoys per attack and not think about their attack. Or even if they were only oil raiding, just drop and expose traps. No thought, no skill. Annoyed the cr@p out of me!
Now you have to think about how to use tactics, or even if you should use them.
If Nexon got one thing right with the ''rebalance'', it's this.
Welcome to a game of strategy. :D

Actually, that wasn't players fault. There used to be a big variety it tactic combos back in those days, and betrayal was one of my favorite. But then Nexon said: 'forget it, you must use decoy now". So everybody switched to decoy.

Alexey , agree to disagree.
I never used more than 1 decoy even when all tactics were 1 space.
Players will always use the easiest option instead of using their brain. Nexon never forced anyone, they just made it easy for people to take the easy option.
Nexon isn't blameless but the 'choice' is still with the player.

I find bases that haave their factories close. I use 2-3 german soldiers to kill them and let the HTs come closer. I use betrayal on both at the same time.
Then I deploy my troops. The first HT that comes out of the bunker gets betrayal too. I have 2 on me.

It works brilliantly so far but that doesn't mean I eventually 5 star them. I just seem to be going just a little bit better overall with this strategy.
I believe that people will just stop upgrading their bunkers after level 1-2.

That's fine for raiding, if you want to raid once an hour or two given the 45 minute retraining time on your tactics.

The bigger more important issue is how are they in war?

I don’t think it would be good in WW. As I said, using of betrayal is strongly layout-depending. You can find an easy base in mp, but you can’t choose much in ww. For example, I simply put a landmine near each of my bunkers.

bring back tactics using one space only ,and limit any tactic to a maximum of 2 at any one time
