I'm pretty sure a lot of people had thought about betrayal tactic after the stage 3 patch notes were released. So let's share our thoughts.
I've made some attacks with the couple of betrayals and here's the result: my main goal is to let defending HTs destroy its own bunker and be a piece of meat for a silo. First part is easy to do, but the second one hardly works out. At active CWA bases those dHT (d - defending, taken by betrayal) loose their hp pretty fast. They do have increased hp, but they don't have splash damage and get stuck by multiple defenders. Only dHT attacks against AA bases worked well for me so far.
Another two drawbacks are: first - betrayals are seriously layout- dependent, if a base has a couple of anti-tank guns near a bunker, you need to spend your planes to clear them, but it's better just to skip this base; second - when you meet an abandoned base, your betrayal becomes useless, since the bunkers are empty, and you can safely kill factory HTs with your planes since nobody puts a factory in the middle of his base.
