Anyone know how the loot is computed?

I would like to know if it is good idea to keep the war loot in command post? or collect it and keep it in the mills?
Which you guys think is better?

the loot for resource ratio in CP is 10%, much less than mils and market. However in Global Age, oil loss in refinery is only 4%.

I think just keep in the CP. they are not seeked automatic by raiders and and is another building to raid. But you should be careful to take resource out before it is full!

I usually collect loot from the command post after each war for the following reasons:
  • There are many reports of missing loot from CP
  • I might forget to collect the loot before it overflows from the CP
  • I like knowing how much resources I have and having it all in one place
  • I don't need to protect my CP
Having said all this, I know of many allies who keep the loot in the CP. To each his/her own.

Loot stolen from Mills and Markets are around 15%, and each age has a maximum cap, 450k in global. 10% can be nicked from the CP. So if you have more than 3m in mill/markets it's better to withdraw it into mills/markets or the max loot available is 450k + 200k (if you have 2m in the CP) = 650k. All in the mills/markets keeps the cap at 450k.

Oil is 4% wth a 4k cap, so once you're over 100k oil, don't keep the excess in the CP.

But when your mills and markets are maxed out it is a nice place to store food and gold for the short term.....

I was going to mention that, I once did have maxed out mills + 2m in the CP + 1.8m uncollected from an event, around 11.3m chicken legs total if I remember, just waiting for armory/library research to finish or build some food based structure when workers freed up.

BTW if you do need to withdraw CP loot and your mills/markets are a bit full, it will only withdraw up to the mill/market max and keep the remainder in the CP.

Taking all those into consideration, I usually follow these simple rules.
If my storage is low, I will collect the CP cause my storages are better protected.
If my storage is near max, I will leave my loot in the CP cause if your storages are full, there is no point going raiding.

This is incorrect. Cap is 4k even if you are global raided by global unless you are raided by British or someone with loot blessing. I have had more than 100k oil for the past 3 weeks, they can take a max of 4k oil from refinery irregardless of age unless they are British or has loot blessing.
