I am in Enlightment age, in Library @Level5 "Leadership" Chapter 5 costs 72000 Oil
I think all researches avlbl to tht age shd hav reqd rsrc applicable totht age, for enlightment age only 50000 Oil accumulation is psbl, then how this research can be completed?

It can not. You can do it once you reach Industrial Age.

Then it is a design bug!!
Its like u hv a bldg which is allowed to upgrade within ur age, but u cant get tht much rsrc...

This must be fixed..I m not sure if similar bug exists in other ages or not...

it also does this early in the game, when you first get the library. there are researches that cost 800,000 food/gold and it is not possible to get that much in classical age.

They set the resource levels on a formula when the library was initially released - there are predictable steps to the cost. But initially, each book only had 3 chapters I believe. So when they increased it to 4 and then 5, a few steps went over the level of resources available for that era, for oil specifically. They could easily go back and fix this, but it seems to fall in the general category of stuff they don't want to change.

The only way to accomplish that upgrade in EA is if there’s a discount to cost of library upgrades. They have not done for a very long time but it does happen about 1-2 times per year. Otherwise you have to wait. It shouldn’t be that way but neither should so many things this game does.

no his complaint is they offer reasearch available at certain ages but that research is unattainable at the age given to you. its the only place in the game where you have access to something that is impossible to attain

he wants them to lower the cost of the items that are given at certain ages because he feels that if the option to research it is there then you should be able to aquire enough resources to get that research

The reason those researches are there is as yemen said, they were added later. Obviously anyone who installs the game afterwards needs to age up.

dp1310 well I was just saying every once in awhile they do a library research upgrade discount here it is this week. It’s now possible to make those upgrades. I’ll be taking advantage of oil discounts in library for sure this week

Ya this week I will be able to research that, but the point remains same here. Those items which cannot be researched within the same age should be changed accordingly.
Its no point without upgrading everything going to next lvl and get smashed by higher lvl players!!

What's the big deal? You're able to research a buff to betrayal in enlightenment age even though you get the tactic in industrial. With all the game's issues this is the very definition of a mountain out of a mole hill.

And to facilitate this they need to fix these kind of bugs in all ages!!
