[FONT=lucida sans unicode, lucida grande, sans-serif]I feel as though this has been lingering long enough. Marla, Myself, and the Last-Outlaws!! by proxy have removed ourselves from Operation Oligarchy, and subsequently DomiNations Prime. Though the adventure was a blast full of wonderful people, the end result sadly does not fall in line with what I would like to morally align myself with. The community has and will continue to be fantastic and packed full of wonderful individuals and teams. Marla and I left DomiNations Prime over a month ago, likely it's closer to 2 now, but I am a few times a week pulled aside and asked where we are? [/FONT]
[FONT=lucida sans unicode, lucida grande, sans-serif]The concept of matchmaking and moreover the judgement passed by a party "not nexon" really twists my knickers. To paraphrase one of my good acquaintances in the game, I know great people on both sides of the line, good people on stacking teams, and people that make me cringe on upstanding teams. And the judgement therein should be made outside and as individuals whether you like or want to associate with someone. The brush that is DPrime and now owned by Operation Oligarchy has sadly taken that brush to some wonderful people on more than one occasion, an action that leaves a sour taste in new players mouths, and leaves people feeling either angry, trolled, or left out, and ultimately, judged. But that's the end of it, by definition an Oligarchy is meant to do just that. I have chosen to create a new community, one where no one cares where you are from, simply that you are a person playing a game. I choose to support community, people, and the enjoyment mobile gaming brings to my life, and quite obviously others. I have chosen to not tag people with anything other than, you're playing a game and are a person. the relationships and people are there to simply talk about games they love, that's it. If/When NEXON decides to 1. admit to these problems, and 2. deal with the metrics, we will have to see what that looks like, but until then I refuse to as a member of the community, as an advocate of the community, judge or oust people based on NEXON's inability to do these 2 things.
I don't mean any ill will to the individuals that make up the group, they are all wonderful people and I care very much for them all and wish them the best. But these things need be voiced. It needs transparency.
Marla is on her way out. As many of you have voiced sadness as a result of this decision, she is spending her crowns on NTG's and mercs, and will continue to war until they are gone, and after that likely will be gone. I am saddened by this as well, I love playing this game with her, and certainly we will find another game to love together, so if you see more channels for other games on our server, don't be shocked or alarmed. And thank-you all for your kind words. But like rorshach said, "I'm not stuck in here with you, YOU'RE STUCK IN HERE WITH ME!!". So if you need anything, please don't be ill advised that I'm not around, I still love this game, and am very much init.
Marla and I will continue to do the Tuesday Night Rant & Rave. We are still available very much so in our server M&C BootCamp, and most definitely we are more than happy to help any alliance whenever and however we can, we love meeting new people and hanging out with old people.. hehe, old people. So enjoy the relationships you have, remain focussed on whats good, Keep your sticks down, your heads up in the corners, and as always, HAVE A GOOD TIME!!
