i dont like the offers but if the reg price fluctuates at 200 ~ over 200, and current price is 100, the discount is at least 50%. and there IS a NTG exchange, at 2:2

pckrn yes there is an NTG offer that finally showed. it wouldnt scroll down before.

as for price flux it isnt a true discount of 50% because again one never knows what the original price is unlike a discounted research/upgrade.

ive seen idiotic marco prices as stupid as 500 crowns for a single howitzer (not an army mind you) then a price for a howie ARMY the next week at 300 crowns. Its this kind of fluctuation that makes the discount worthless.. a player is not able to make a comparison.

let me make it simple....if you walked into a store and everything was 50% off but never mentions the original price how do you know if its really a deal?

Rubies are one of the biggest gimmicks this game has.
Yeah, you have to wonder at the level of disrespect they have for the players who war frequently and have no chance to use the rubies. Why create this virtual currency and then give people very limited opportunity to use them? Isn't this what some amusement parks do? You have to buy Disney-dollars or something similar and then when you get into the park everything is overpriced or not worth buying?
While I enjoy these Marco posts I doubt very much Nexon will ever change Marco back to the way he was. This game has enough items for purchase, Marco had so much potential to be a worthwhile addition for trade only, without crowns.
R.I.P. Marco's potential.

At beginning, Marco Polo offering
1. NTG for troop card
2. NTG for Tactic
3, NTG for Bless
4 NTG for crown (Stag Lurk)

But soon, Nexon feel it is too generous, they change it to ruby, and we have
1. Ruby for troop card
2. Ruby for chest

And soon. Nexon think they can squeeze more money, and now Polo offering
1. Ruby for rubish
2. 400 ruby for troop card (original 100 ruby)
3. Crown for troop card

I'd like Marco Polo to offer various things in exchange for rubies only! Let's say...

One building for say 2k rubies
One chest for say 500 rubies
2-3 troop tactics for say 200 rubies each
Other stuff such as blessings, tactics, resources, trade goods, NTGs in exchange for the relevant amount of rubies
Other stuff such as peace treaties etc.
He could even offer unique things that can't be otherwise earned throughout the game, always in exchange for rubies.

PS. All offers that cost crowns are acceptable to those who are interested in, but may be offered outside Marco Polo, via the Inbox window. I don't understand the point of offering crown offers both from Marco Polo and outside him.

I miss some of the early Marco trades like:

10 Salt for 1 ninja army
3000 rubies for a ninja dojo (limit 1)
10 fur for 1 stag lure
10 leather for 1 bear lure

What happened to these kind of trades? That's what the community expected, but we never see these any longer. Get rid of the crown offers in Marco and have actual trade good offers!

Yes, a purchase for lots of rubies makes sense. Nexon keeps offering small ruby purchases and people often comment they have rubies up the yingyang.
If your rubies are gone you're likely to war more to get them back, which means more mp battles for NTGs, which likely means more crowning of troops, which likely means more spending for crowns, or more spending for troop cards, etc.
See where I'm going with this, Nexon?
Good idea Saruman.

Honest vent/questions. I really dont understand the need to be so stingy with in-game items that have no real world value. Its the advertised 3 year anniversary event. Go big! Why not be more generous with these single use (or non-permanent) items that make the game fun for players? It would cost them nothing to buff war rewards/victory chest rewards/marco polo offerings etc. Why use these as a means to aggravate the player base? Does this actually lead to greater revenue for them somehow?

It almost feels like some grand sociology experiment to collect user data and find people's breaking point. The product is YOU!

I don’t really pay much attention to Marco. However, thanks for bring him up. I traded all the 2 marble for 2 scrolls trades. Helpful...
