Medal climbing?

So I'm currently at approximately 2975 medals. I really have no desire to stay at this level, but the 2000 crowns for getting to dynasty would be really nice.

However, I'm finding it next to impossible to climb, and I still have over 200 medals to go. The "no opponent" thing happens almost constantly so even when I want to attack I have no one to go for. Those of you who have made it to dynasty, what was your strategy?

I also begin to climb. I found that even with "no opponent" you can click again and again and found new opponent. And when you are still full force at each session, you should be selective and spend 5 minutes to find the right opponent. I scored 51 medal from 2 continuous opponents this way.

In defense, try always have 2 blessing: tower and fortification. I suspect that if you have 2 of your best general at level 1x or higher the ordinary players will not come, so sometimes I use only one low general even if I have a level 16 general ready.

I'm stuck on 2100...its very hard to climb, one mistake and you loose 30+ medals...

I got to 2600 with very little struggle actually. There were still plenty of targets with TC outside. 2600-2900 were slow but manageable. After 2900, I just hit a wall.

at this time the low medal attackers has advantage with new global troop, while global defense take months to build. I lost a lot of medal every day compare to before.

Same here - got to 2800s before deciding to hover around 2600. That was manageable but now I find 2300 a nicer 'sweet spot'. The difference in league bonus is negligible when I have so many more bases with good rss to raid. I even got my biggest win - 900k gold & 800k food - at 2300!!

Yup, i'm bleeding medals fast lately lol. Last 3 defences, lost 27, 14, 21 medals.

If you've only got 200 to go I'm tempted to say ''Go for it - we're behind you'' (insert cheering here - yay!!) - but only you can answer if it's worth the angst.

If you want the crowns go for it and don't stop til you do. If you want to start enjoying the game again (assuming you don't at this point), enjoy the resulting 8hrs peace, smelling the roses, etc, etc, then drop down 300-400 and start enjoying Dominations again.

Quang has answered it already. Dont go for 1 or 2 medal victory. Next it till you find a beefier opponent worth 27 medals and more. And attack him with full force(full tactics, mercenaries, alliance troops and air units). Until 3200 medal mark u will find it still easier to find such opponent, and wont have to next much.

But once you are there, waiting period will only go upwards. Until one point you will have no ther option than to snipe tc if you still wish to climb up.

I had been at 3378, that was max I was at. Currently I am hovering around 2850. And its much better than it was in dynasty 3. Trust me, these 400 medals do make a lot of difference.

Im in IA and on 499 medals... I have lots of targets while sipping my Vodka and Lime giving the betrayal birdie to k-nobs that send their heavy tanks out in defence. Do I win?

Even at 2300-2400 I'm averaging 14+ medal wins and -1 losses.

Now that my Global tanks are done I think I'll slide all the way down and join you - if that's ok with you ..... I've missed my mixed army .....
