Is it just me, or does it seem like 'they' do the following:

Add an item thats very powerful which will lead to a bunch of people spending money on that item.

Let that run its course for a few months(most anyone that is going to spend the money on it, will do it in the first couple of months if not the first few weeks)

Let the us come to the forums and complain about it and say they are looking into changes.

Then when they think they cant make much more money on the item, nerf it into the ground.

You give them too much credit. I don't think they are intentionally doing it, they just have no idea how to balance things because nobody there plays on a regular basis like the rest of us.

NEVER underestimate corporate businesses.
It's a world of profit by any means necessary.

I think it's both, they don't test well and they knows that elephant archer are best-sellers 😞

I think it is because when Nexon look into financial report, they found most of income came from their VIP money whale. And they try to make those money whale happy.

Almost all new introduced item point to one target: make them pay more:
1 OP Elephant Archer (VIP love it, with 4 in attack VIP feel like superman)
2 OP Bazooka Tower (Nerfed into Bazooka Sentry because the VIP found it too hard to destroy even with 4 elephant archer)
3 Troop Car in SH (VIP love it, with 4 elephant archer inside, VIP feel like unbeatable)
4. University (Hold the Gate,VIP feel like unbeatable)
5. No Troop balance (VIP dont care standard troops)

All can be easily explained

But Nexon wrong at begin, when they make largest money whales happy and pay more, they lose the smaller one and potential one.

This is EXACTLY how all P2W mobile games operate. Kixeye is waaaaay worse than Nexon....OP a new item to get money from whales then nerf it into uselessness for the rest.

I guarantee the silo will be nerfed into an useless state by December.

A tip for developers how to make instant money, not much work... they introduce American + Russia as new nations with cold war. Raise amount of crowns to switch nation. IA - 600, GA- 1000, AA- 1500. At least 100.000 players (american + russian combined) will most certainly give 10 usd for crowns and switch into their nations momentarily = 1.000.000 usd income overnight.
They can buy new tv, new cars, even small boats for upper management .... 😂😂

i could care less about a nation being american...i only care about the unique troop and nation buff. Ill keep my british until they are nerfed or another nation is made better.

They would actually make a hell of a lot more money by making the Estate $15. Most people that dont have it would feel its necessary to buy now that it is affordable.

You're american and wouldn't switch to americans if possible?!? You traitor! Hahahaha
Only kidding, have no strength to lose my nerves over this game any more, so will just switch to fun mode, and most certainly won't invest in game any more...

I almost spend some money until I noticed that price for android is 10% higher than IOS,

And I am so disappointed that I cant change my troop combo for more than one year. It is no fun to play with same combo again and again

I have thought about buying the estate 4 or 5 different times as I got into this game. Each time, they do something that reminds me I don't trust the developers enough to invest money in a game that will aggravate me this much.

In some sort of order: The massive screw up that was the Bazooka Tower. SH troops in war on defense, specifically the first time I ran into EA archers in them. The repeated sales of the Bazooka Tower after loud outcries when they introduced it as an event building. The PTW monstrosity that the Bazooka Sentry remains after their "nerf", with ongoing sales. The Missile Silo. Overpowered and overpriced coalitions that require grinding / medal dropping to maintain for every war. The ludicrous decisions on the TH nerf.

There is more, but a fun game has been hurt by enough bad decisions in the last year to leave me unsure where we will be in a few months.

Just a couple months back i posted that they were moving in the right direction, but i was skeptical and they proved me right, 1 step forward, 100 steps back.

Many have commented on the business model part . I just had a thought on the design philosophy part. Nerfing TH and introduction of silo has saved oil for some . In the past week I have had hardly 5 attacks which took more than 4K oil . I think this goes well with Nexon trying to push people to max out their important oil related buildings coz many people would have rushed to AA/GA due to summer of ages. In my case since most of my oil buildings were maxed , I could focus more on Amelia .

Makes me wonder, any silo nerf and Cold War age arrival will coincide. My guess is that a huge majority of silent casual players who play less and have trouble protecting oil, tacitly approve the silo in its current state. And majority of active attackers will oppose the silo In its current state for obvious reasons .
