National Trade Goods Update - February 2022

Greeting Leaders,

We understand that since the v9.9 NTG Rebalance it has been difficult for many players to gather specific National Trade Goods. We have collected and reviewed your feedback from all our channels and appreciate the many detailed and helpful responses we have seen.

While some of the options to modify NTG acquisition will require additional design and engineering passes that will take some time for the team to implement, we do have some changes we plan to implement as soon as possible.
  • Starting 2/12, we will place 3 trade offers (instead of 1 as of right now) in Marco and reduce the trade cost to be 2:1
  • Starting 2/17, we will start including more NTGs on the free event tracks
We still intend to build on this NTG system over time and fully expect future updates to bring it into a place that we are happy with.

In the meantime, we hope these changes will help you in hunting for the NTGs you’re looking for. Let us know in the comments below which NTGs you’d like to see at Marco and in events the most!

3 ntgs max from Marco each day plus even less from events won't help anyone who wars b2b. Roll back the ntg to the way it was.

This is how you fix the ntg acquisition problem for good.
1. Increase ntg storage capacity by 3x.
2. When maxed on any ntg types, any additional ntgs you get of those types become the ntg you have the least.

It's simple and relatively easy to implement. It's also fair and very predictable for what ntgs you get in mp attacks.

Those are both good starting changes and thank you, but I don't understand why you can't just put the full suite of NTGs on Marco Polo for 2:1 trades, all the time. Then we don't need to tell you which ones we'd like to see on sale, which change with coalition costs anyway. If you won't do so, then please make sure porcelain is frequently awarded and/or available.

This defeats the purpose of the NTGs as being a random commodity. While they're at it, why doesn't BHG make each upgrade cost 1,000,000 gold and make each win give 1,000,000 gold? Or make each 5 star victory give all 8 NTGs?
There has to be some incentive to play the game for randomly generated rewards.
Otherwise people will just be inundating the forums with ''BHG, give me this, BHG give me that''. (more than they are now)

So BHG has to accommodate the players decision to war b2b and make everything attainable and have everything all nice and easy to get and there's no incentive to earn anything ??!

Zaxillaxifrage correctly wrote we need a permanent exchange function of any NTG in a ratio of 2:1. This is the simplest and most effective solution.

King crimson, you wouldn't be given the ntgs. Lol! You'd still have to go get them. The current system is very stupid and bad. The previous system wasn't very good either. What's your solution? I'm guessing you're one of those who just buy ntgs?

What are you on about? Ntgs weren't supposed to be random to begin with. The only randomness was from moctezuma capstone. If you wanted a specific ntg, you attacked that nation. There's no one asking for freebies here. We're just asking for a fair and consistent way to get ntgs for wars. Some of us have lives and can't be on the game 24/7 raiding just to hope to get the ntgs we need for 2 war attacks.

As Dracula3811 pointed out, I don't know where you get the idea that NTGs were designed to be a random commodity, except with the recent change that started all this discussion. Randomizing very specific things you need isn't fun gameplay anyway. I also don't know where you got the idea that I was asking for cheap upgrades or baskets of NTGs after each battle. We should have to work for valuable rewards, but it should be predictable. When I'm maxed on other resources, hitting a Korean base and getting four Tea feels like a frustrating waste of time. With a full set of NTG sales available at least I can get some return on that by swapping the four Tea for two Porcelain.

This is a strategy game that normally does very well in rewarding planning and calculated effort. If I wanted random, I'd click on one of the Lucky Slots video ads.

You implemented a new NTG system that was inferior to the previous system, then when it becomes clear that it was a huge mistake instead of just rolling it back to the old system that was much better you now want us to trade our NTGs earned at a 2:1 rate with Marco. This is unacceptable…plain and simple. Many ideas have been presented to you from many different sources that are much better and actually represent what your player base wants…you should try listening to the players.

2:1 ratio is unacceptable. One NTG is not worth more than another. It’s not our fault that they screwed up the NTG system and we shouldn’t have any negative effects from it. If I raid a korean base and get 4 tea instead of 4 porcelain why should I then have to exchange those 4 tea for 2 porcelain? This is still a negative experience in my opinion. The system needs rolled back, or if they are locked into this exchange at Marco it should be a 1:1 ratio and all NTGs should be available for exchange at all times. Make gathering NTGs a pleasant experience…we do play this game for fun you know…

Leviathan , By now , you must understand that people don't like uncertainty/lottery kind of system . Here are some ideas to solve NTG issue .

1. Allow build of second "Store house" to double Ntg storage.
2. build system to exchange any NTG to any NTG at any moment , not depending on Marco.
3. Instead of random NTG ,change "NTG shipments" to provide NTGs which has lowest number in "Store house" at that moment .
