Reason for Adding it to the Game: At it's peak, the Ottoman Empire was one of the largest and most powerful empires the world has ever seen. In the 16th and 17th century, the Ottoman Empire controlled most of the middle east as well as parks of norther Africa and Eastern Europe. This Central position in the western world made it a trade hub, and under the rule of Suleiman the Magnificent the Ottoman Empire flourished. The Ottoman Empire would remain one the worlds great nations until World War 1 when much of the Empire was taken by the allied forces and what remained became modern day Turkey.

Nation Bonus: Because of it's power as a nation of trade, the Ottoman Nation should have a power that reflects that with a powerful economy. There are two possible nation powers I think the Ottoman Empire could possibly have( The Ottoman Empire would have one of these powers not both).

Trade Hub: The first of the national powers for the Ottoman Empire would be Trade Hub, instead of one league boat, the Ottoman Empire would have two league boats come to its port each day.

Grand Bazaar: The second possible power the Ottoman Empire could have is a unique building known as the Grand Bazaar. This building like Notre Dame Cathedral cannot be attacked in battle but it's purpose is to allow the user to trade food and gold for trade goods and vise versa. Obviously this could be quite overpowered and would take a lot of balancing but I feel this would best represent the power of the Ottoman Empire.

Unique Troops: There are two options for unique troops the Ottoman Empire could possibly have, the Janissary or the Sipahi.

The Janissary was the elite troop of the Ottoman army and served as bodyguard to the Sultan. Janissaries were actually slaves that were trained by the ottomans to be elite marksman with a bow and were one of the first unit to adopt firearms. Instead of giving them a damage boost or range boost which is are used by the Korean and British ranged units, the Janissary would be 50% cheaper than other ranged units and would train 50% faster.

The Sipahi functioned as the medium cavalry of the Ottoman Empire and had status equal to the Janissary in the ranks of Ottoman Empire. Because they are a medium cavalry the Sipahi would have higher hitpoints than the standard cavalry but less than Greek and French special cavalry. The real advantage of the Sipahi is their damage as they would do much more damage than the other cavalry in the game.

The two league boat idea is a much better idea then making the first league boat arrive faster lol. So is the Grand Bazaar. In the case of the Unique Unit, I would pick Janissary if Spain gets implemented, or the Sipahi gets implemented if my Spain idea doesn't get implemented.

Let me get this clear. The Janissaries are Ranged Infantry?

Yes, Ottoman's would be another good addition to the line-up. Definitely need a middle eastern/islamic nation - big gap - also could go with Persian or Arabian Empire...

It can fill the Muslim Country gap. And it can give to community a little excitement as a new nation to try.

Good idea, but needs work, especially since we don't really know much about Turkey before the 16th century.

Other than perhaps Persia, who were at Turkey during the Classical Age.

I hope you're joking. Turks as a people have an extremely long history, stretching back from the 6th century BC, when they lived in Central Asia. States like the Göktürk Khaganate are historically present since Late Antiquity (Classical Age).

As for the idea, I would say that it is interesting, but the French, too, have a training speed bonus for all (not just riflemen) troops, and their unique unit has a combat power. Archers take 50 seconds to train; even if that's stacked up, it is nothing compared to ranged siege troops and supply vehicles. Janissaries would be good as a ranged troop, they should just have more health, as an elite troop; why not make them the "Roman shooters", as in they have +25% HP. A damage bonus would simply be redundant, but I wouldn't mind a 15% damage boost, akin to the British but with more health rather than range.
