Nexon get rid of the rubies please

Got so many rubies stacked and nothing to spend on.
All Marco Polo brings is crown offers,the same as the offer page.
This post probably sounds like a broken record but it's true for the past so many weeks.
All the p2w alliances have tons of armies to splurge their crowns on, but active warring alliances can't do squat with those rubies.

Don't know mate, I know it's depressing to read the same thing, but so is this game's current meta for me after enjoying it before all the troop tactics and stronghold.
Sorry for even posting man. No one takes anything into account unless you're splurging on them crowns.

I think its premature to assume troop chests arent going to return. However, even if they are gone id rather a few overpriced marine troops than nothing. I vote to keep the rubies and take what freebies we can get ;p

Indeed, no need to get rid of the guy. Just have the lowest of expectations when the Marco Polo Medicine Show and Sideshow Extravaganza! rolls into your town. His Amazing Wonder Tonic may not be a cure-all but it probably gives you a buzz at least.

I think troop chests from marco were a great thing for the game. It allowed active and small spenders to have at least a few troop cards for war, and even participate in base filling. Taking that away is demoralizing. I see many people checked out of war, or not really excited to war because they have no hope against a filled SH without some sort of troop card supply (dock and video offers just dont provide close to enough).

The absolute max rubies you can earn in a war if you hit your age or higher is 150 per hit, and then you have to win the war to get the 300. Reality is people often earn much less (for example, with how critical sandbagging is to success in this game, people have to clear low bases, etc...or they just lose wars..) Maybe a consistent player would earn 200 a war, or 600 a week in a good week. That is 1.5 marines a week from consistent frequent participation. IMO I agree with the OP, may as well not even have rubies. They just make people angry at this point.

Btw, rubies have no direct impact on me. Before the $.99c crown incident, I was a big spender and have enough TT to last me months or a year without troop chests. But, I see my teammates frustrated, war less fun for everyone, and I see the gap between those who spend a little or none, and those who spend a lot continuing to grow. Having that gap so big is really bad for everyone, including spenders. Direct impact of this to non spenders is huge, and the indirect impact to spenders is crappy, too.

That's exactly my point, it's hard to compete even If you're a good player when you know you have blokes raiding Polo for his crappy crown deals.

I think they aren't putting in any chests in Marco because they still haven't fixed the open bug. We might not see any chests in Marco until the next update. But until then, they could at least give some reasonable offers. One single marine army is worth about 150 rubies to me, not 400.

It's a broken record, but having 80% of the Marco offers requiring crowns is just stupid, and goes against the reason for having him in the first place. It's supposed to be a place to exchange goods. Crowns are a currency, not a good. Where are all the old offers that take fur, leather, and NTG for cool stuff?

I understand Nexon´s money greed. The same way they ´re loosing the playerbase. I think one of these days only P2W players will be left, and the consequence of all that is well known. I see since short time players leaving en masse doing this and similar wrong stpes done.

It seems BHG is making this game for themselves not for the players. I've seen so many game developers doing the same thing before going down the chopping block. BHG is lucky they are not mainstream like EA and BF2. If they were, this game would be the posterchild for anti-consumer tactics. And then they have the audacity saying that MC is a great way to introduce new and cool troops? And that the crown price is not an issue because there are ways to receive crowns w/o paying? That my friends is arrogance itself.

But I guess the very fact they laughed instead of deny when they were called money-milking machine on the twitch stream says it all
