Some people don't even do events, whether they're easy ones like training troops or gaining stars ; whether they acknowledge there are such events, or not. I've been in alliances with those kinds of people.
Just a suggestion for similar events, if you're about to make an event that will require us to collect items, please do it just like last year's event (I forgot the event name), where we collected chests, and at the same time Marco Polo was offering a lot of chests to trade for rubies. And there were also supply drops counted as chests atm.
That made it more sense.

Anyways, think I'll skip this event also I've opened my speed up chests I purchased from Marco.

Looks to me the opposite Xbar, speedups are more valuable to me then wall manuals.

This may be the first event that I don’t even clear 2 stages. Not only because I don’t have enough speed ups, but the prizes aren’t worth the effort. I earn enough gold and food resources through raids to upgrade my walls. I don’t need wall manuals. This may be the dumbest event since the one time BHG wanted us to collect an impossible number of NTGs.

LOL at CW I have to use 540 .....?!?540!!!!??? HOURS worth of speed ups to finish the event. Unless they are planning on massive amounts of speedup drops this is ridiculous.

As you could see by my posts earlier, I didn't hold high hopes for this event. But now that I see the values, I almost feel ashamed for the devs myself... how can this level of stupidity be possible? Really... no words...

I need 672 hours speed-ups in this event for 100 wall manuals. Each of my 172 wall sections need 24 manuals to reach level 17 from my level 16 walls. So i can update 4 tiny walls with 672 hours of speedups. I am a level 269 space age player from almost day one. Please cancel this event.

I think your idea of "use your Speedups and benefit from additional rewards" is much more of what the team had in mind with this event, {[Fresh]}Kratos. We know that some players have amassed a number of Speedups from League Boats, Victory Chests, Marco Polo, video rewards, and Wonders and this upcoming week is the prime time to put them to good use!

Since this is the first time we've run an event with this as the requirement, I know the team will be interested in seeing how this event stands up against others, such as 'train troops' and 'Earn Stars'.

Just, I say that is an event imposible for the most of the players. The perception about this event will be that is only for those players that buy more acelerators.

Adding my voice to this. Clearly whoever designed this event does not play the game and has no concept on what we value or what motivates us to play. This event demonstrates how out of touch Nexon/BHG is with the player base.

Let's try to find something positive: hopefully (hopefully... I'm being naive), just maybe, the devs will realize how unpopular and useless wall manuals are, by the stats and results of this event... and perhaps try less often in the future to shove them down our throat in the sales/daily videos and whatever? An absolutely ridiculous event that shows how out of touch BHG is with their own game. If any of them actually played the game they'd have been able to speak up and say what a stupid event this was whenever it was first proposed.

It's the most idiotic event to date. Even events that only get you food or gold for achievements didn't require much work at all to complete but this one as for so much. I'm cwa so why does it have to be specifically 6 hour speed ups. So effing dumb. And you're doing it to get wall manuals that have no use and they don't even work on bastions to boot. I think the worst crime is the thumbnail. Just seeing makes you think that the event will gift you speed ups rather it uses than to complete it. Let me use my speed ups on my caravans so that I can complete the event.
