First, let me start this post by saying I'm not calling for a nerf. I want offense to be viable in this game and I want it to be fun/enjoyable to attack. But that being said; there should be some rhyme or reason behind your ability to protect your resources as well. I'm fully aware as a player who just hit Enlightenment; that I should get stomped by good players who are further in the Enlightenment age.
My base isn't the greatest with my walls at level 8 but all my previous defenses were max level before I started my progression to Enlightenment. If someone is going to net most all of my resources; then I would expect a peace treaty to be a part of that equation. At least with Heavy Calvary attacks; a shield was most always produced from a major base raid. You took your licks/lost your resources but a treaty protected you from getting destroyed over and over again.
The problem that I'm having is with the current mechanics behind Raiders attacks; no peace treaty is produced from battles where you lose all/most of your resources. Attackers are able to drive through the core of your base and still not net the 50% required to produce a treaty. So saved resources are pillaged over and over again through the night. This effect is going to be just as discouraging to players as the frustration of failed attacks.
Last night I had about 2.5 mil of each resource saved up and during the night, my base was raided 17 times and still had no shield. A few of the attacks were just for medal dropping but every major raid used Raiders and Protect tactic. Sometimes wall sappers and sabotage were added in but all of the attacks were the same theme. Throughout the night, I lost about 1.5 million of each resource. It's not exactly the situation one enjoys waking up to.
I'm including a video of one such attack. I hope it helps illustrate the point that I'm trying to make.

As far as solutions, I would propose a 3rd way to earn a single star. 1 of the 5 stars could be earned by 50% of base destruction "OR" 50% of resources looted. This way; the attack is still viable but players don't get raided the same way over and over again.
Let me know your thoughts.
