Reached Enlightenment Age Today

After losing almost 3 months of life to this game, I have finally reached Enlightenment Age today.

Stats at GP Age before upgrading:
- Level 94
- 100 x Level 8 walls, 8 x Level 9 gates
- Level 5 roads
- All buildings maxed-out
- Everything in Library up to Level 4 were fully researched.

Now, I will begin the suffering like the rest in upgrading those insanely expensive stuffs

How much you've looted gold/food in overall? Congrats, anyways, it looks like you've being prepared well ))) I was much less prepared 2 weeks ago, but defense is just fine on lvl 90. The main problem in EA is not even high prices, but super long upgrades. Sometimes, it is so boring, you'd better leave the game for a few days.

About 150/160M looted. I followed the advice of the early generation players. When I was a n00b, they told me to stick to the strategy of upgrading everything first (like in Clash of Clans) before advancing in Age. I agree the long upgrade duration makes the game boring. I don't understand why they made it this way.

Nowadays, there are so many games, so many choices. The key to being successful is to have people stick to the game. Making the wait times so long will just make people go try out other games and then forget about the old ones.

Well, in our alliance there is a 'rush' member who has almost max enlightement attack and less than medieval defense and also a max GP defense member who just joined EA. I am somewhere inbetween and we may compare our results. We r also grinding on different medal levels, 200-300, 600-800 and I do at 1000-1200. I'd say that we have more or less similar results of 160-190m loot in total, but I have the most of lvl8 walls may be caz of SH and Notredame. In this game I have a feeling that rushing is more rewarding, caz you have more comfortable play sessions when you collect on smth big. Getting reaources for defense GP upgrades is much easier in enlightement for me, but you have to pass this difficult period when your barraks upgrading

I rushed into GP and learned my lesson. I'm still upgrading but am almost done. The walls are a killer. I've left those out and am trying to catch up. My walls are between level 6 and 7. My concern is that they just get shot over, when can we get higher walls?

Just when I thought I was happy having 100 x L8 walls, there is now 10 more new ones in EA for me to start over

I wouldn't rush with walls too much, caz lvl8 is the last efficient gold/defense exchange imo. After that prices are ridiculous and differense is 6% or smth. So even 10 inner lvl7 walls won't make much differense. Since I am defending 1 resource at a time, I am leaving some low level walls for dumping gold when I keep lots of food.

But anyways 310m loot is quite a good result. How long do you play daily lol? )))

Just had my Blacksmith upgraded and... there is nothing I can upgrade in there because everything cost 3.4 - 5.2M roast chickens!

yeah you have to upgrade mills and markets before you can upgrade troops. Learned that at beginning of GP age
