reduced wait times

I think that it would be a good idea to reduce the wait times a bit. Example: Farm to level 10 - 2 days... Now that I am higher up and all my wait times are more than 24 hours, the game is becoming less appealing... Even an upgrade to the enlightenment age is a week... That's nuts! I understand that we should have to really earn the upgrades, but not at the risk of making the game boring and considering we pay a bucket load for the upgrades, I think a max of 24 hours unless upgrading the age... But the cap for that still should be less than a week!

Your suggestion is not only reasonable and well-defended, but in the best interests of building and sustaining a community for the game in my opinion as well. It's an 'embedded' prompt, incentive even, for the player to log no later than the same time the next day to go about a next task for now-idle citizens. At the same time, Age upgrades should continue to scale upward beyond 24 hours up to a maximum of a week.

I agree with both of your posts but unfortunately it would seem the developers would like to follow the (fairly) standard model of the freemium strategy app games. This involves wait times and a bit of resource grinding with the ever present temptation of purchasing crowns. This is of course how freemium app games generate revenue.

I was a little disapointed to see the developers adopting Clash of Clans' approach to the walls, which means making walls insanely expensive as a player progresses through the ages. Even SuperCell (the Clash of Clan's developers) saw the error of their ways and made a compromise of reducing some of the higher end wall costs and allowed both gold and elixer/food to upgrade walls.

I might start a separate thread for this now that I have been reminded of this issue, I feel at the very least walls should be able to be upgraded with either food OR gold.

I went to the forum to make a post about this, appearently i'm not the only one who is sick about dollar grabbing freemium games. I like to.support the devs, buying games or simply donating..... Freemium done right is a great bussines model, like world of tanks. Once in a while i buy some tank or premium subscription. But this freemium model really really sucks.... You can buy 14000 crowns for 82 euro, those 14000 crowns are evaporated in now time, and then? Buy again? For around 50 euros i can buy a top pc game on steam without grinding and paying. Freemium models like this are going to kill mobile gaming, anybody remembers atari? Models like this make people use modded apk's

Don't get me wrong i really really like this game. I want to play this for hours, NOT 2 minutes collecting and then wait a day, a week, to advance or just gather credits to advance and then wait some more. This cool game get ruined by waiting. Just offer a paid version from this app, without all these abnormal grinding.

I think the developers should work on creating more events and options (frequently updated) for players with respectable amount of rewards when the players do not have any workers to play with or when it is taking ages for them to upgrade something. I believe reducing wait time is only a temporary solution because overtime as more features arise, upgrading things will become more time consuming, but that doesn't mean I disagree with the post completely. I still believe for earlier ages, players should not be given such a long wait time because by the time one needs to upgrade to Space Age, I would not dare to think about how many weeks the game need to upgrade an age.

I actually disagree with this, I like the long term upgrading. If anything being able to buy more villagers for crowns would be preferred. I'd like to see builders cap at 20~ (21 with chinese). The most important feature to be fixed is the return rate on resource generators that are trash among trash. some1 pointed out the increased resource is +130 throughout all levels enough though it costs more and takes longer to upgrade. If it was me i'd like it to scale with investment. Maybe 1 week to get your investment back, 7k goes in and u gain 1k+ per day taking a week to gain a return. This isnt even including the resources you're losing during upgrade time. I found an interesting thread 2 days ago clearly giving the facts that resources actually have to be bought to upgrade enlightenment since the income is so low it isn't even covering troop costs.

I agree that wait times r too long. I dont mind investing in the game, but i dont want to wait around. Boring!
