With the new update, the game has now turned to Farmville! Raiding is no longer an efficient way to acquire resources. The only way to advance now is through buying crowns. Sorry, I stand corrected another way to advance is to hack and cheat since there is no repercussion for cheating!

Yes, it looks like they decided to motivate more players to use cheating with this update. But you have to be a good one and leave your resource buildings outside, so we can get 630k loot.

I agree that the AI is a complete mess right now, but I do not think this was deliberate. In trying to fix certain AI issues they obviously created new ones.

I do agree that if they cannot fix this quickly they need to revert to the previous build, because attacking is simply a mess right now.
