Hey guys,

I brought up some discussion during Gunpowder/Enlightenment ages for the Roman civ., now I have made it to Industrial Age and I'm looking for more advice.

My enlightenment army comp was 121 troops: 4 supply carts, 30 musketeers, alliance artillery/riflemen, templar knight mercs, and the rest soldiers. I used 3 sabotages and 1 protect.
This was very effective.

Now in industrial Age, I have access the mini gunners, guerrilla dudes, zeppelins, tanks, planes, etc, and I have no clue what an effective war composition for the Roman army is.

Do I scrap the soldiers/riflemen and just go artillery, tanks, and a few planes like a lot of people, should I get like 2 of the bomber dudes/guerrilla and keep a similar army comp. with a few planes? Or is there a better composition that suits the health bonus to the roman soldiers?

Thanks in advance,
MasterMike

I would keep a similar comp as you've been using in EA. Planes will be the biggest addition to your comp in IA most likely and I don't personally use mini gunners, guerillas or zeppelins. We have some successful Roman attackers in our alliance that use zero heavies. I think the people in my group use a few more cannons/artillery than you though.

Good to know. Thanks for the reply. You said that the biggest addition would be planes. What would you swap out in my current army for them? Riflemen, or the soldiers?

Planes have there own troop spaces, depending on the level of your airport and there is a technology in the library to add +1 space.
