During the last 4 years, I have noticed that all russian-speaking alliances are very defensive. Their bases are always well build, and research is well maxed.

Their attack level is not so great in most cases. But I can say that for 100% they are always very defensive.

Is this a cultural thing or what ? :)

I cannot say something similar for any other language nation..but those russians... (Boney M - Rasputin)

The best defense is offense. So if your team is good enough at attacking, why should you care what the other team is doing? They just gamble that many teams don’t have enough good attackers so they win by defense. It’s only a strategy, nothing to do with nationality.

yes, I know that it is a strategy to win, but why is it allways the russian alliances that are doing that? I do not see this pattern for other countries. My clan members also think the same : russian = strong defense

Because it’s working for them maybe? And other teams don’t focus enough on defense so it’s pointless for them going defense and not so great at attacking as well? So common sense says go defense > 75% you gonna win.

I would say it might well be culturally influenced, Russia has been (very successfully) defensive throughout history. Nobody was really able to conquer their massive lands.

Plus, the ingame Russian coalitions are also defensive, and a good one at that. B)

Obviously Russians only know how to win via attrition, those crappy attacks are brave comrades dying for the glory of the fatherland. Your techniquely advanced troops will eventually meet their doom by underestimating the Russians sense of duty for there country.
