Jju you always have good posts and this is another. I agree with most of it, the only thing I dont agree with is that sandbagging is a result of stalemates. This is only partially true. I think what you are are exposed to is like this at the very very top, but if you move down a bit in overall war weight ranks....you will see the amount of alliances that sandbag for easy matchups is crazy, and it has absolutely nothing to do with worries about stalemates or wait times, only manipulation of matchups for easy wins. In fact, I would say alliances like this far outweigh the top 20 or so top advancement/organization alliances like Rats and others that are put in a nearly impossible situation if they dont sandbag.
If given the opportunity, many people will exploit any loophole to get an unfair advantage and sandbagging at these slightly lower ranks is everywhere (nearly 100% of teams we face now). To this note, I actually think the proposed solution will get rid of many of these teams, it will stop rewarding the behavior and they will be rewarded more for going in normal weight. But, it does nothing to address the plight of those top teams that are unfairly given options of 2d+ wait times, stalemates, etc as their only option for glory rankings if they go in full weight.
It sounds almost like an impossible task for Nexon, but they really have to solve stalemates and sandbagging at the same time, otherwise its completely unfair to one side or another. Im willing to give this solution a bit of a chance because I know it will help my team, but Im very aware of the fact it will do nothing, or even hurt the teams who deserve to have the top 10 spots on the leaderboard. And that cannot be. I'd rather they waited to put this in, until they had a better comprehensive solution that helped more teams, as long as the wait wasnt too much longer and there was better communication.
