Thanks for clarifying.
They never say it will be permament.
That should be only in season 2.
By mistake or very good knowledge of somebody they let that from season 1 and leave it like that and for season 2.
When season 3 announcement came they say it will stay in season 3.
It will stay becouse they don't know what they mess up all the way from season 1.
Permament is just excuse from saying we don't know what happened and how to fix it.

Looking in community around nobody was for permament bigger range. Absolutely nobody. And they change it by mistake.
For other changes community raise voice more but they didn't change it.
They didn't want nothing permament but this just happened and they don't know how, why and how to fix.

And somebody gets payed for that. Perfect.

This was an intentional change that we made post-Season 2. I recall there was a bug that made the Castle unable to attack air troops when implementing this change, which was fixed in 11.8.1. The team was looking to implement a way to have this building utilize multiple targeting ranges and utilized the season to play with it that way. The team then decided that this would be implemented as a permanent feature.

Please continue to give feedback however, the team is keeping an eye on this change and the impact it has on your battles. The more feedback the better, especially when coupled with why it has a positive or negative impact in your battles.

Defense has been boosted quite significantly over the past year and the general spawn radius is just another bonus for defenders. Making this a permanent feature is quite demoralizing for attackers (I had a few attackers took a break from the event hoping to return when the general spawn bonus was over and then the bad news of permanency) I bet if we have a poll most will be against this.

Thanks for the update! Any discounts on general or building upgrades during the first week of July?
