I have to agree. The previous two games I have played (kingdom of camelot and game of war) have that capability.
What I would recommend is to add provision that only a certain percentage (15-25%) can be sent and shipment can only be done under a peace shield. The reason for this is creation of farms and banks. Ie one person creating multiple accounts for sending resources to a main account. As for banks, creating a new account where the resources would be sent every five days. I know that this does sound time consuming but I have done this in kingdom of camelot on a weekly basis to save billions of resources for the alliance.
