I was feeling like advancing to IA until I wanted to ask all of the glorious peeps on the forum first.

All of these buildings I have not maxed; The Dock, The embassy, All farms and caravans (I was told I would be a bigger target if I maxed those), and the university

I have maxed all offensive library researches except battle tactics and leadership

Update:

I just noticed I left a stable and redoubt one level behind. Should I upgrade those and wait another week? Or should I just save the trouble and let it slide?

I think it's generally accepted that those buildings should NOT hold you back. Now go! :D

Never let defenses decide if you should advance to the next age. Only offenses. Especially given that event rewards will be more, and discounts will always be around the corner for advancing your offensive and weaker defenses. Food is too much of a ridiculously abundant resource to not be getting some good out of it.

Can't disagree with any of those who replied. I will add though, that I think it's of value to consider playing an age as long as you are enjoying it.

I I really had fun in EA, and only advanced to Industrial because of wars and the nature of my alliance. We aren't a powerhouse alliance and I found myself climbing up the ranks and felt I couldn't deliver what was needed anymore in EA, so I advanced.

when you advance you gain something but you also lose something. training times in IA make it kind of prohibitive to play the way I want to without a training blessing. Not the end of the world but it's soemthing different. And upgrade times increase enough that I've actually had a harder time staying interested in the game. There just isn't much reason to log in sometimes. I'm puttering away at level 11 walls now, but if I weren't I'd probably skip logging in some days altogether. Depending on how you play and what your relationship with gaming is this could be a good thing or a bad thing. Only the individual player can decide.

i am one of the few who prefers to get most things upgraded before advancing, but in my opinion, I don't think the remaining items you have listed that are yet to be upgraded should keep you from advancing if you would like to advance.

Im xp177 and still on IA if that helps. Im glad, especially with these events. GBA gold needed is way more than IA for instance. I also want to rank up my walls and gates more.

If you haven't upgraded Stables yet that's an absolute much for Industrial, those tanks on defence make a hell of a difference.

However if it's just the 1 stable left you could always start the upgrade and work on it whilst you wait.
