So I’ve read all the arguments as to why cheating isn’t such an issue. Arguments like, “...upgrading everything, just pillage their bases while defences are down”, or, “we need easier targets in the higher level ages...blah blah blah”

I disagree, and it boggles the mind as to why BHG do zilch against these cheaters. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m less inclined for making micro-transactions in this game if the cheating isn’t dealt with. I have no evidence, but pretty sure cheaters don’t make any transactions, so this is eating into the developers revenues, profits and bonuses.

I’ve tried to ignore the cheating situation as much as i can, but when someone drops a few troops on your base, and gets a 5* in under 30 seconds, strips you of resources, blessings and medals, it’s annoying and makes the game totally unenjoyable.

TinSoldier, maybe you can answer this question. Let’s say you have a maximum of 19 citizens. You have all buildings and all university researches simultaneously upgrading. What’s so hard about probing the game client for this exploit? Surely it’s a pretty simplistic algorithm? Why is it seemingly impossible for the clever devs at BHG to resolve? Also, when reporting these players, you get a cookie cutter response from CS stating “rest assured we’ll apply necessary sanctions for any violations...” Well I’m yet to witness this. I’ve kept a note of cheaters I’ve reported, and they’re all alive and well according to dominations.pl

Please sort it out BHG. Scrap new features, and do a release which obliterates the cheaters, and prevents all these existing exploits. It might be naive of me, but look at games like CoC, there’s very little evidence of the rampant cheating experienced in DomiNations.

BTW - here’s another cheater who 5* me in under 30 seconds:

Name: Nick
Alliance: Christians

I am in total agreement. Cheating eats away at the foundations of the game. I understand we have to be very sure someone is cheating before applying a severe penalty, such as a a permanent ban, so it would require human review. But how about auditing all battle results and automatically applying small but increasingly severe penalties? It could start with 25% of resources, then 50% for a second offense, then 100%, then a 30 minute ban, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 1 day. At that point a human would look at the offending player's attack record and decide on a permanent ban or knock back to iron age.

All automatic penalties should be communicated to the player who was attacked as well as the offender, to make the penalty system transparent and increase trust in it.
