Info on the Stronghold is spread about and some of it is conflicting, so just wanted to clarify it all here.

This is my understanding of it:

1 - Troops that you add to your own Stronghold can be used on offense in Multiplayer attacks.

2 - Troops that you add to your own Stronghold are used only for World War (or Multiplayer) attacks, and do not spawn on defense in world war.

3 - If you add troops to your Stronghold, but do not use them in your World War (or Multiplayer) attacks, they remain in the Stronghold.

4 - Troops that are added to your Stronghold by other players via the war map, are used for defense in World War and are not returned to the donating player.

5 - Troops that you add to your own Stronghold do not spawn during regular multiplayer battles.

Does that all sound right?

Thanks!

All sounds good, but troops for your attacks can be used in multi also, just no def spawning in multi

one question please. if we put a tactics troop in it and want to change the troop. Did the previous troop deleted or return to Inventory?

Yes. I added and then deleted one troup. It returned.
Lvl one stronghold's "deadly mortars" are worse than one rifle's DPS. :( Useless in defense, unless you buy troups for the entire alliance, ofcourse, hoping they will buy for you also. What a joke!

As you upgrade, the stronghold quickly gets better. My level 3 stronghold has more damage than a level 4 mortar, even with my University mortar upgrades taken into account. DPS-wise, it still seems "low" relative to rifles, cannons, or other single-target attackers - but you have to keep in mind the splash damage effect.
