No Cold War age dates yet? Maybe they are considering making the cwa event longer due to long upgrade times.

Please make Industrial and above longer. 7 days means nothing when all discounted upgrades take over 7 days to complete in the first place. Only like 1 build is discounted and we miss almost everything else. In global it’s like there is no event at all.

You have a huge error in the dates. Because July has 31 days.

Correct dates must be:

Industrial Rush 7/22 - 08/06
Global Rush 07/29 - 08/13
Atomic Rush 08/06 - 08/20
Cold War Rush 08/13 - 08/27

Seriously?
The number of days in a month has nothing to do with it. These events are 2 weeks long each, no more!
smh

Oops, something went wrong in my head. Totally mixed up 30 days / 31 days. Of course, my post was wrong. Better delete it.

hmm "Cold War: Details coming soon!" is still the last line.
i've been assuming there will be a cwa TC instant-upgrade the 19th?
but i'm realizing that's a big assumption, and may not be true;
tinsoldier said there would be an atomic/cwa week 12th-19th .... but did not note the 2nd week with the tc upgrade.

I'm trying to remember what happened at last year's Summer for the Ages. Am pretty sure they included an instant upgrade to Atomic tc?

Last year, Summer for the Ages instant AA created a wave of new Atomics, which helped encourage high-end Atomics to jump to Cold War when it came out a couple of months later. I guess they'll offer the same this year, to create a wave of new Cold Wars... Lots of us are waiting for Space Age, to make the next jump now...

Have they said anything about units? buildings? new research & tactics for Space Age yet? I assume that'll happen before Christmas/Thanksgiving? They have been pretty busy with the Museum, so let's see. Another AMA be real cool...

My guess is that we won't see the next age until after the next Winter of Ages, so February/March at the very least. To be honest, I doubt there will be enough late game players to support a new age even by then, since they seem to be so stubborn about speeding up the process for any newer players. Considering we're eight months into CWA and it's even more piecemeal than atomic was in regards to upgrades and new features it could be a very long wait indeed.

They really could stand to FINALLY figure out a solution for the maxed out market/mills issue that's plagued this game for so long, especially given the recent frequency of wall discounts. An exchange, alliance bank, bio-fuel plant, any sort of resource sink would be most welcome. Some people will have been sitting on full resource storage for nearly a year even in the most optimistic of Space Age scenarios. Not a gamebreaker, but not something they should have let fester for as long as it has either.

Anyway, time will tell.

That maxed out resources thing is only really a problem for atomics waiting to get to cold war with maxed walls already, and cold wars with maxed out walls. So what, about 1% of the player base? And their problem is they have too many resources? I can't see that being a priority.

What they really need to do is shorten the game, so most active players can get to the latest ages in a reasonable period of time (less than a year). Then we can start worrying about lots of people with maxed out resources being a problem.

One would think they could handle multiple issues. As I said, not a gamebreaker but it's still an issue that shouldn't be too difficult to address. I'd prefer an alliance bank mechanic, anything to increase the value of actually being in an alliance, but anything that requires a bunch of intricate coding tends to open Pandora's Box.

The most straightforward solution would be an exchange. Even at 10:1 food/gold and vice versa or 500:1- 1000:1 food/gold to oil it's better than nothing. Of course this exhange mechanic should only be applicable at 95% or so of maximum storage. Otherwise everyone would just cash out their food/gold before logging off making the climb that much more difficult for middleweights, people new to an age and make medal dropping more of an exercise in tedium than it already is.

Perhaps a mechanic can be added to the next update, like a 'multiplier' that we, the ones with maxed rss, can add to the available loot on our bases.
eg: I'd be more than willing to add a ''+100%'' bonus to anyone wanting to loot my base. (except oil of course) :D
If I don't need the rss then I don't care if someone steals 500,000 or 1 million. In fact, the more they steal the more incentive I have to raid again to fill up again.
As a CW player with just about everything important already done, I'm ready to just sit back and farm. What do I care if someone doubles or triples their loot? I can always get more, right?
