Supplies for the museum. Where are they?

Am I the only Cold War player with level 9 Dock who is not seeing any supplies from expeditions? Seeing them less and less. Just like Marco, movies and other elements of the game. Seems we’re being squeezed in every area by BHG.

BHG, I realize revenues have dropped but squeezing your player base is not the way to turn it around. Afterall, the revenue drop is self-inflicted because of your rebalance and greed.

Also, why does Dock level 7 gives more for expeditions then level 9? Makes no sense at all and penalizes us for upgrading to level 9.

Mathematically level 9 dock yields more and faster supplies if you have crowns to re-roll supplyless expeditions. I think the game economy is optimized for those that have disposable crowns ... not shocked.

yes, one of my big regrets is upgrading my dock.
it's hard to do paranoid diligence on parts of the game regarding opportunity cost analysis for upgrades ... that's headacheland.

51 or 34 supplies for 5 worker hours is 10 or 6 supplies per worker hour (level 9 dock). 128 for 3workers*1day19hours is less than 3 supplies per worker hour (level 7 dock). 1/2-1/3 of the payoff. The other level 7 expeditions are 3 or 4 supplies per worker hour respectively.

And you give up the chance to get decent atomic troop cards at the same time, so much worse there.

All that is to say that the Level 9 dock is far better than the level 7 dock for almost everyone who isn't maxed out in the game. If you really regret it, either you are maxed out, in which case more power to you, or you may not have done the math on which is most efficient and valuable.

That is not to say I don't think nexon should rebalance all of these (because I have more researchers and pink ladies than I will EVER need), but unless you have nothing else to do with your workers, it is far more efficient to get supplies from the 1 worker 5 hour expeditions as often as they come up rather than committing 3-4 workers for two days to get 128 at the level 7 dock. I also think cold war needs a dock upgrade, but it was late coming to atomic too.

When you aren’t maxed, your citizens skip the supplyless missions so that your dock is idle more when it is higher level. Nexon’s math that higher dock levels are better seems to be based on crowning those supplyless missions to get new ones.

The best strategy is to apply workers to any destinations with supplies and anything less than 24 hours. Skip all of the 33 hr trips and wait for the dock re-roll.

NateTheGreat I think your result for level 6 dock is off because there are only two slots instead of three. The impact is that it would only have 2/3 of the rate compared to levels 7-9.

The expeditions seem to randomly appear. With 3 slots, you get more chance of getting a useful destination. Nate’s numbers are probabilistic expected values, so the level 5 and 6 values should be multiplied by 2/3 for fair comparison.

Level 7 dock is BY FAR better than 8 and 9 for supplies. You can do all the worker/hr math you want. The reality is that the supplies don’t pop up on the higher level docks enough to make up for losing what you get at lvl 7.

As Nate’s spreadsheet shows, the math is in agreement with you. For supplies, level 7 is twice as good as level 8 and 3 times as good as level 9.

you just have to wait for the expeditions that give supplies for every 5 hours. there are 2 of them in the highest dock. i get them every couple of days.
