my 2 cents

players that are often online and like to many many full attacks per day (15-20+): choose French
players that want to demolish the hardest bases, test their strength and enjoy max offence: choose German
players that want the best tanks and use them even for loot: choose Greeks
players that want loot over everything else and being able to kill easily bases: choose British
The rest, for me, haven't got important advantages. I played all of the 4 above (+chinese) and I am currently German.
I can't say which is the best since it all depends on priorities and in game age. At some point, French was the best. Now it is German. In the future, who knows?

for MP differs according to ur style, TC snipers go with french or greeks, full raids players can play any nation with british being the easiest option

In the early ages, Chinese and Japanese are pretty awesome. Chinese offer one extra citizen and extra troops from TC like another garrison. Japanese is like gaining an invisible tower that most attacker units won’t see or avoid the path, even now they claimed quite a few of my helicopters.

French is definitely great for someone who had control of the donated troops, while my alliance is tiny but I can get whatever troops I needed at anytime so it’s crazy good. By gunpowder age I get 6 more donated troops than other nations. Plus when you are done with all of the university and library upgrade plus choosing the right wonders and using training blessing you can train all your troops in ridiculously short time. The tanks has more hitpoints or about the same (with blessing)as heavy tanks though it does not offer the same damage.

British are great but the unit that makes them great are the longbow or long rifle unit and you need a lot of it to be effective. It limits your troops diversity line ups. Many people end up using the same troop compositions from Classical age thru Cold War age.

Germans fell into the same pitfall as the Brits but with their powerful footies

Honestly I have been playing in all civilizations. All are active accounts.


° French are suffering economically, but I find it balanced in pvp due to faster training troops. This is my main nation, I find it really great cause I don't like to retrain/wait for retraining plus I can donate more.

° Brits are economically developed. My second account, fastest advanced account so far. Created it less than a year. Level 155, Atomic Age, currently working in Atomic troops and barracks.

° Germans are super. Both in wars and pvp. Their infantry could replace any other ground troops alone . Unfortunately it's not my main account, but I'm excited to keep maintaining it. Probably will be my strongest account if they all get along at similar levels.

° Koreans, so-so. I like that sometimes I can train all riflemen yet they could crush the buildings fast.

° Romans, a bit better than so-so. A little more efficient economically because I can train all infantry to loot, yet they all can survive lol, they're really resistant

° Chinese should be great to begin with. Outsmarted by Brits in later age though

° Japanese, and Greeks, my least choice. They could be good as long as they are given more perks! Nobody wants defensive nations


Footnote : Change your nation to Germans or French in later age. If you're Brits, stay there lol.
If you want decent buildings, choose Koreans

I feel Korea rates a re-evaluation as a defensive nation with the inclusion of the museum artifacts that give a looted resources refund, since it stacks with those and can allow a nation to have a massive buffer against raiding. My current refund base is 53% (80% with blessing). I don't know how this rates and correct me if I'm wrong but 10% of the full total is pretty minor, and even with the 27% refund from the blessing it only bumps it up to 37%, but the way I have it set up it would change my 80% blessing refund to 90% so I get half of the remaining looted resources back. Is this a good compounding bonus or does the blessing and artifacts make Korea's bonus even more trivial?

I stick with French now mostly because it's the only way to speed up airplane training and because I use tanks both in and out of world war.

French. I have 6 accounts, 4 of them are French, and I wish the other 2 were. The retrain time alone makes up for any weakness in other areas, but the tanks and extra donated troops are icing on the cake. For war I will admit being French is not the best for me personally, but I pretty much fill all the bases and supply all the the troops for everyone else's attacks.

Caveat; I play at relatively low medals and attack weak bases without using tactics, so in an hour, with a training blessing, I can hit 10 to 15 times. If you like the challenge of taking down high level bases, one of the other nations might be better.
