ADD NEW RACES, with a mythical element, Orcs, Dwarves, Elves, Undead, Aliens, Norse, Greek. There is a real lack of mythical games with Dominations type battle engine, maybe we could unlock them at the dock for crowns and go to a new realm (for those historical die hards who might not like to be involved in multi race mythical themed game) and if you choose not to be a part of it, you will never see it or be attacked by it in your game. This would also open up such a vast range of troop types and nation mechanics for varying strategy which nexon always bang on about.

Nice answer to someone who agreed with you and tried to rationalise why it hasn't happened yet ;-)

Well, this post is fantastic and I fully agree with everything.. Except the Age of Mythology part. Actually Age of Mythology was a fantastic game, well received by both critics and players alike, with one of the first functional MP ladder systems for strategy out there. It was a different take on Age of Empires, and rightfully so called by a different name.

Age of Empires franchised crashed when a terrible AoE III was launched, with an extremely boring campaign, clunky buildings and unbalanced multiplayer was launched. Actually AoE III suffered exactly from what you describe, with Home towns, cards, etc etc...

Bottom line, pretty please, with sugar on top, don't diss on AoM, or I will Ragnarok + Flaming Weapon your tushy!!! ;)

Nexon, please do not add a mythical element to an amazing historical/realistic game. I have moved away from all of the other games I played like clash etc... to get away from fake creatures.

I would like to see Russians, Americans, Vikings, Spaniards or Egyptians added as the new nations.

The idea is fairly sound - in fact, if you look at this history of Big Huge Games you can see this trend. In the early 2000's the studio put out Rise of Nations, the historical real-time strategy game. A few years later, BHG put out Rise of Nations - a real-time strategy game with fantastical units and elements.

While we did add the Fire Breathing Bunny Army as an April fools unit (...and I'm still hoping for jackalopes in the future) we do intend to keep the game with a historical frame of reference.

This thread has become a bit of a mythical beast itself, transforming into something far beyond what it originally meant to be.
