The Future Eras To Come

This is something that is my opinion but i would like to state some ideas for Eras. The Eras can follow history, and maybe much later they stray from reality to give a cool twist. I would love participation and comments giving details! Pretty cool ages but what are your thoughts?


Industrial Era

• Next upcoming Era to the Game
• Should add new resource Oil
• Few screen shots have shown an American type soldier with a machinegun
  • Could suggest new nations

Pre World War II

• More advancements in technology
• Communism and the Red Scare came about
• Business Boom/ Assembly Line were huge

World War II

• New Weaponry
• Could add Fallout Shelters or Hazmat.
• Atomic Bomb
• Many Dictators at this time, could give update to Generals or even a permanent Dictator/Leader
• Pacific Islands/ Kamikazes

Mid - Late 1900

• Traps like in Vietnam War
• Tunnel Systems
• Chemical Warfare like Napalm
• Many Strong Units

Modern Day

• Recon
• Modern Weaponry
• Modern world powers
• Modern defenses
• Nasa and Space Programs

Space Age

• Could be futuristic a bit
• Space conquest and advance technologies. Semi-robotic

Now to give fun options that stray from reality

Apocalyptic Age/Fallout Age

• Desolate lands
• Mutation Factors
• Futuristic vehicles or weapons
• New resource
• Shelters and cool game design
• Robotic
• Could be zombie, or could be nuclear. Whatever!

Alien Age

• Super Futuristic
• Hover vehicles
• Lasers and Plasma weapons
• UFOs
• Could add abductions

I like this, but I don't know if they would continue after the space age, if they do, hopefully they use your ideas cause they seem rather good.

good idea but i dont like the Alien Age

not so real. I like game close to the realy life.

The campaign should add Viet Nam war, Red war, Japan war....etc

Looking at the age differences between the current ages I think that it would only be WWII, Modern, and then Space. Hopefully I'm wrong though lol

Well seeing as there is a screenshot of First World War tanks and Bi planes, i'd say the next age would probably be Industrial (WW1). However I believe they will include a WW2 era also, since even though it's only 23 years apart, there was major advances specially in how warfare was conducted. And also, BHG made huge jumps in early ages and still had Industiral - Modern and Information ages (which reads as WW1 - WW2 and 21st century) in Rise of Nations, which this game get's heavy inspiration from, even some buildings like the Town Center (in RoH it was cities) and the classical age temple looks exactly like it did in RoN. So I think the same thing is going to happen here. Which I'd be fine with.

The only reason I say that there should be ages after Space Age is because of the game Civilization 5. DomiNations is kind of based on that game and that game is amazing. in Civ 5, there are ages after space age where it becomes futuristic in technologies like nanobots or even robotic units.
