In my opinion, buying resources is the worst thing you can do with the crowns, it's usually one of the most expensive things on this kind of games. It's way cheaper to speed up troops and get the resources raiding, you get so much more per crown that way (like Andy was saying), the downside is that you have to actually farm for it, but hey.. isn't that why we are playing, to raid? lol
I usually use my premium currency for this games more or less on this order:
- buy extra builders if it can only be done with premium, like the starter pack, number one priority by far.
- when you actually can't play because you have to wait, for example you are maxed out and done with walls and all your storages caped, and still have one day to go on your TC, I speed that up because it's that or stop playing for a day, so I usually find that "pay to keep playing" pretty cheap.
- sometimes there is a builder that has 30 min left but I have to go/sleep/work or whatever, and I know I won't be able to log for quite a while, so I speed him up and put him to work on something, because I never like any of my builders to not be working on something.
- finally speeding up troops like Andy was saying, either boosting like in CoC, or insta-training an army or the troops required to complete one as in this game.
