Well, here are a few thoughts that i think would be worth adapting for the next update.

New building - Trade Workshop
Function: The Trade workshop allows the players to trade rare items (stone, cider, fur and leather, excluding diamond). Players might send requests for a certain items (with limited request capacity) in exchange for a fixed amount of gold (set by the administrator) for the givers. Players might post their request in the trade workshop for other alliance members to view, they can also browse for other requests made by other players from the same alliance to see if they have the goodies to trade for gold.
Level 1 - 2 items with maximum quantity of 1 for each item type.
Level 2 - 2 items with an additional 1 for 1 kind of items.
Level 3 - 3 items with maximum quantity of 4 for each request.
Level 4 - Same as level 3 plus reduce the cool down player can make request.

The Trade workshop gives 20% chance (at Level 1) for the Caravan from other Alliance members to travel to your nation and give bonus gold. (The amount of gold is not based on the current level of that caravan but give only a small pack each turn). You will receive this caravan whenever you starts your game or returns from a war.
Each level give an additional 15% (Max 3 levels, level 4 does not give).

New loot item - The Knowledge Scroll
Gain from: Trading item at the work shop (20% chance constant), win a war with all labels attached, killing Monks (New unit)

Function: The Knowledge Scroll are extreme rare items (all of the above conditions share the same chance, not automatically given) can not be traded, and can be used for the following functions:
Train Monk - Monks are trained at the temple
Give a boost to all active blessings with a chance that a blessing can be repeated after expired (30%)
Upgrade building with special abilities (New function). A building upgraded with Knowledge scroll does not exceed into the next level, but rather be crafted into an unique building with special abilities.
List of buildings with their abilities after being crafted with the above item:
House - (Food + stone + Knowledge Scroll) - Special house which the occupiers can fight when invaded.
Mill - (Food + Cider + Knowledge Scroll) - Special Mill which can give a boost to nearby farms (reducing upgrade duration, and increase capacity).
Market - (Food + Leather + Knowledge scroll) - Hidden Dugeon which reduce the loot raided from this particular market dramatically.
Store House - (Food+ any item + Knowledge Scroll) - Rewarding storehouse which will randomly give a reward should the invader failed to earn 100% raid (40%) and lost the battle (100% chance).
Watch Tower - (Gold + Stone + Knowledge scroll) - An additional shooter allows this special tower to hit different directions.
Catapault - (Gold + Stone +Knowledge Scroll) - Quicker turn rate with a one hit kill upon impact (for a single target who takes the hit)
Army House (Sorry i forgot the name, the building where soldiers came from for defense) (Gold + Stone + Knowledge Scroll) - Special soldiers who are immune to war tactics.
Barrack (Same as above) - Give a 30% chance that the camp will capture defeated invaders of any type regardless of your nation's Age.

The rest of the buildings can not be upgraded yet. Player can only upgrade one building of each type with the special ability (or if this come true maybe the editor could think different)

New unit - Monks
Train from: Temple. (Require Knowledge Scroll)
Function: The Monk cannot fight, but can do many things both at your nation or when you are invading.
Enhance buildings: Monk can be assigned to enhance a single building by praying near that building, giving the building types a boost.
Resource buildings (Farms, Gold mines, Fruit Trees): Increase generation rate.
Defensive Buildings: Increase damage and rate of fire.
Barrack: Boost training Speed.
Once assigned, the monk will be sticky to that building with a short cool down before switching, when you leave the game you can order him to pray a defensive building. A monk can even worship a Wonder, making the Wonder's ability become more efficient. When a monk dies, he will give a brief protection to the building he's worshiping, reducing incoming damage, which means he can also pray a non-productive building like Town Center.

Assisting your army: A monk can give your army a speed boost in an area around him when invading, also bringing a monk to battle increase all chances for loots as well as give an increase to bonus loot. A monk persists in battle can give your opponent a chance to earn Knowledge Scroll but he will also give the same protection to all armies surrounding him.

Enhance construction rate: A monk can also pray for an under construction building, giving 40% chance that one worker can be free earlier before the construction finished as well as enhancing construction speed.
You can have up to 3 monks based on the level of your temple, with increase price one after another.
