No great loss as that twisting rutted goat path obviously led to nowhere. Still makes one wonder what the point was in stickying it to the main page for 9 months, dispensing nothing but lip service and false hope, then so conclusively sweeping it under the rug. Not one of the many, many suggestions was ever tried or even debated/discussed with a person who actually had the clout to do anything about it, despite the occasional one-and-done appearances of several project leads over the course of its lifespan.

So again, what was the point?

Haha. Youre right! Even deleted from my post history. The most viewed/most commented on thread in the history of the game, which was full of good feedback and examples for the developers...the community Q&A, and so many promises of 'continuous work and focus', all gone lol.

That rug is awfully lumpy now with so much swept under it :)

We just matched an allaince 42 levels below us(avg lvl) with a 65 difference between our 1s.

I think Nexon just gave up and will ignore it.

I don't know. Giving up on something sort of implies that they actually tried to do anything in the first place. It's like saying they gave up on improving the AI. 907245d8081128545faa43f880e3fab4.jpg

Sadly, the biggest problem is there just aren't enough alliances in the game. If they improve matchmaking, that means more alliances will have trouble matching. It's already a huge problem for some, including mine. We only match the same 4 or 5 teams for the last year. I'm not discounting the problem, but addressing it will make more problems. Is it better to have a bad match, or wait 3 days to match the same alliance over and over?

It would have to be a three day wait to make it worse than the current system, which ties up the alliance for two days anyway. In all likelihood a suitable match would be available within 24hrs, which would be far better than the current situation. They’re losing alliances hand over fist at the moment, so matchmaking in only going to get worse this way

Honestly, it's a tough call. You guys at the very top are pretty much stuck with a limited selection of opponents by the nature of being at the very top. However, an easily-manipulated, poorly-implemented matchmaking system does little to encourage more participation so it's hard to see how that may eventually change. It would also be helpful for the braintrust to do something about the squatter alliance issue on the leaderboard. Just a simple weighting the top half of a lineup twice as much as the bottom half would likely go a long way towards curbing sandbagging. Which means a large chunk of alliance space wouldn't be dedicated to dummy accounts at the mid-to-upper echelons of the game. Which may in turn lead to people going with their best possible lineups instead of 80% best 20% worst.

Anyway, blablabla. Hundreds of proposals have already been made, some more practical than others. This is more wry amusement at them doing away with a post they created themselves just to apparently blow smoke up our asses for the better part of a year.

They deleted my post about the free crown offers not paying as well. If they don't care I guess they don't care.
