I play because it's the best game I've ever come across on the ipad. And I'm saying this as a massive Civ2 fan..

I continue playing this game (somewhat) even though I have this bug for 2 months now which prevents me from raiding as much as I used to and I can't participate in alliance wars because of this glitch that's made my game very slow and lagging. I know, I'm crazy.

yes, this game is definitely the roach motel for Civ2 fans.... you can check in but.....

too bad they made the AI in Civ Revolutions so darn sucky, no challenge at all....

I think the game has a great balance... Not so hard to advance that you quit out of frustration (aside from problems with bugs, crashes and cheaters) and not so easy that it's boring (unless you don't war and then you just make another account *cough* Ravenlord ) They make it so that you can play without buying crowns if you have the time to raid the stuff you need or don't mind progressing at a slower rate. For those who don't have the time but don't mind spending a little each month can keep up by crowning and it won't break the bank too much (I pay more for PS4 games that loses my interest a weeks time and never play again). Beyond gameplay... It's the people that are drawn to it that keep me playing. I've met all sorts of people who were drawn to the game because of its connection to real world history or something like it. No dragons or eggs to hatch. No moving in and out of magical realms. No ghosts or Zombies (ok maybe some Zombies ) Just you, your friends/allies and the tools history provides... figuring out strategies for world DomiNation together. Gotta love it! Now if they can totally eliminate the cheaters and the crashes it would be perfect imho

You forgot to add ''no cute virtual little creatures that you have to find out in the real world while staring at your phone trying to avoid the hand of karma sending you off into the afterlife'' .....

All those movies about zombies & apocalyptic degeneration isn't so far-fetched after all - except people aren't ambling about because they're brain-dead - they're ambling about because they're all staring at their devices ..... soooo ..... if you think about it, more or less the same thing really ......

Lolol... It's starting to be like that game they play on Start Trek TNG where everyone but Wesley and Ashley Judd are brain washed into giving up the ship. There's a pokie stop at my local watering hole and everyone was on their phone. I caught a CP388 Pinsir there last night... Sweet!!! My hubby, FunDog has the app open when he is out running because there are 3 pokie stops on his running path. Do you think spaceships filled with Pokemon will descend on earth and we will all be throwing little balls at them to try to catch them while they take over? Or are they already infiltrating us? Trump looks curiously like a Pigeotto
