the wonderful 'cleopatra wants to fly' armory fighter upgrade bug.

when you are upgrading a fighter (the plane; eg biplane, triplane, strike fighter) upgrade a general on the other armory tab.
sometimes, under some conditions i know not what ..... when the general completes the fighter upgrade will rush-complete at the same time.

i have seen this four times on two accounts.... thrice with cleopatra thus i have named it 'cleopatra wants to fly' ...
i'm not sure of the mechanics, but it has always been general/fighter.

it's not every time...but...
i recommend that when you are upgrading fighters, do a general on the other tab.
if the god of games smiles on you, you might get a significant time boost with no crown cost.
since this is an intermittent bug, it may never be addressed... which is okay, a little mystery in the works adds spice.

Yep, had this happen 3 times with my fighter upgrades, while upgrading Joan. I've also had it do the same thing when upgrading 2 generals, but it's less common.

I have had this happen three times, but I have no idea how to repeat it. I believe all of mine occurred when a coalition upgrade finished first and the whatever was in the other armory slot also finished immediately.

just had this bug happen again. i was upgrading churchill, and bazookas on the other tab.

they both completed together today (and they should not have).
i do think this should be fixed, in case it's not random and is something that could be manipulated, exploited.
if it's just random and it's not worth the time to fix, then no matter.

i just had 8 days knocked off my armored car upgrade....it instant completed with my general.
i'm pretty sure that the general was not completing either, i think i just logged in and both were strangely complete.

this bug is common enough in my game to suggest this needs some attention... just to make sure it's actually random and not secretly buffing certain people.

This is a repeatable bug. In the interests of science, I have recreated the conditions (start fighter upgrade, then start general upgrade) 3 times, and each time the fighter upgrade finished at the same time as the general, saving between 3 and 6 days, depending on how quickly I could raid the oil for the general upgrade.

i'm not sure what conditions make this happen now, but it happened again.

i started a general, then a coalition upgrade .. the coalition finished first (level 1 ethiopians i did for xp) and the general finished with it.

It has happened to me at random before, but I have never successfully replicated. Even tried following your instructions, no luck. So either I am doing something wrong, or it isn't completely repeatable.

iSounds interesting will definitely have to try. I wish I had a lvl 1 general to try it with. Ha, actually my fort is only level 4, been putting it off because of lack of workers. Ill upgrade it and try churchill. Just reading the responses it seems like the confirmed successes were dual oil upgrades. I have heavy artillery upgrade coming up and that's 2 weeks. Anyone else have a success with a general and some upgrade with food?

We suffer with so many bugs to our disadvantage... sometimes you should just keep quiet about something in our favour...

You know they will fix something like this in days.... unlike months for things too our disadvantage...

I have seen it happen with two non general upgrades, I think one was food. But it was random, I have never been successful in replicating it with any combination of units.

It is a subtle way of sharing the bug without leaving oneself open to sanctions for cheating. "Me, exploiting a bug? That would be against the TOS. I am merely helping you to diagnose the issue by replicating the bug. And the more times I replicate it, the more data I have for you. I am helpful that way "
