I see the same. Also there is a small banner near the top that says “test”. Shops frequently give their test sites different color schemes to immediately identify them to developers. Maybe this is the internal test site accidentally routed to the live url?

I agree, these new darker colors are awful and cause postings to be unreadable. Please dump these colors.

While this new color scheme is terrible, and should be reverted, here's a workaround if you're desperate:

Log in, click your username (top right), select "My Profile", and click "Customize My Style" from the left navigation bar. Then click a bunch of stuff at the top (change colors). There are a lot of sections and buttons to choose from; too many, really.

If things get too crazy then click the "Default" button there to get (what I assume are) the default colors again; especially useful if the default colors are readable again.

Good advice, almost works. I went through each tab and screen and set all text colors to #aaaaaa. That lets me read a bit more, but banners and inactive buttons are still unreadable.

Looks like someone attempted to upgrade the forum software (or the server itself, such as the PHP version) and it all failed. HTML source says vBulletin v5.2.2 which is several years old; so upgrading PHP (language it's written in) could certainly yield errors/problems as PHP has changed a lot. I'm guessing the upgrade process lost some configuration files and the template system got all messed up. Hopefully they find a "Revert" button on Monday as there's a 99% that none of this is intentional :)

Yeah, yesterday I could make edits but today they won't save. Also yesterday a color wheel popped up while today we're forced to enter in ascii codes... so something is amiss.

They shouldn’t be reverting upgrades, especially something as critical as php. Regular updates are normal part of managing any software, and it should be done frequently. Security fixes, performance improvements, bug fixes, are all important reasons to keep upgrading software. Otherwise you’ll end up accumulating technical debt, and best case scenario is blue, unreadable forum, worst case, someone compromises the server, and do lots of nasty things. They should update vBulletin to the most recent version and then fix appearance, or move forum software to something more modern, like NodeBB or Discourse, using vBulletin in 2020 is like using Windows XP. Will it work, sure, but it’s archaic, obsolete and there are free and modern alternatives.

Well, one thing is for sure: the quality of the new forum now reflects the quality of the game itself. We are aligned now! It is bad EVERYWHERE...
