The biggest problem with Dominations is the glacial pace of rebuilding your army between attacks, and especially of rebuilding Tactics. The accelerated rates we have enjoyed during the event this weekend are actually what it should be like all of the time.

Normally it takes something like 3 hours to rebuild 4 Tactics -- 3 hours between raids guarantees you will be raided yourself before you can go out again. Thus you are forever in a cycle of looting then losing what you looted, without every gaining any ground.

Plus, it's just not conducive to getting sucked into the game to have to take 3 hour breaks between playing all the time.

I suspect Nexon is proceeding under the notion that they can make more money by forcing people to spend crowns to rush their Tactics, but they are missing the forest for the trees. If the game isn't fun, people are not going to spend money on it. And the game just isn't very fun right now.

CoC has greatly accelerated their spell brewing and army retraining for this very reason -- to get people to spend more time attacking and playing the game. It works. Dominations needs to do likewise.

By the way, the Tactics Blessing is FAR too expensive in resources to be a solution to this. (Made more problematic by the fact that casting Tactics blessing uses up the resources you need for the all-important Armor Blessing). And even with the Tactics blessing it's still around an hour and a half to rebuild 4 Tactics (3 times longer than it takes to rebrew spells in CoC without any blessing required).

Another change CoC has made to get people attacking more is that when you attack while under shield, it shortens your shield but doesn't make it outright go away.

All of these CoC changes were made to get more people attacking, and it works, and it makes the game more fun, and makes people play more often, which makes them spend more money... everybody wins.

I totally agree that they must shorten the tactics build time. 30-40 mins for troops is acceptable. But hours for tactics is too much. That also limits that attacks we can do per day. I can accept to attack without allies mercs and blessing and still gain couple of starts. But attacking without tactics is way harder.

I attack without tactics or blessing on a regular basis. Win or loose I always come away with more experience (sometimes a face palm). Like Max_imus said - Learn it! You'll be better for it and it is, after all, just a game.

Maybe if you were in another country and didn't have electricity or enough food for the next day or had to walk a few kms without shoes to the market you would have something to actually complain about.

I never said people shouldn't complain but people should get some perspective. If all people have to complain about are things about their game then I think they've got it pretty damn easy. I'm making it my mission to embrace my ''grumpy old man''ness and tell people to suck it up because there are plenty of other things worth complaining about. ''My tactics take too long to train and I'm very angry about it'' is not one of those things - me old mate!! :D
No matter how bad people think life is there's always someone worse off. If anyone thinks they have it tough they should always remember this saying: I once felt sorry for a man with no shoes - until I saw a man with no legs.

Actually Funks, I'm enjoying this phase I'm going through - it's a refreshing change from always trying to put a positive spin on things. Usually when I do that I get called a Nexon fanboy - so now I'm going to be telling people what I think of their stupidity or pointlessness and if they don't like it - as quoted by hard rock group Tesla ''Put this in your pipe and smoke it!!!''

You're an idiot. This is a forum to suggest improvements to Dominations, and that's exactly what I did. If you think people should be saving the world then start with yourself, and go hang out on a save the world forum.

At the end of the day Dominations is a product, and consumers have a right to suggest changes to a product, and that's what we are here for. And Nexon and Big Huge are businesses, and ultimately we are doing them a service by giving them honest feedback about how their product is perceived in the marketplace.

To update the topic of this thread, CoC just released a patch a few days ago which dramatically speeds up attacking in their game. You can now build two complete armies, and save the second in a queue. Thus you can attack once, go back to your city and immediately attack again with the second army. Not only does this greatly improve the pace of the game, it also encourages attacking with diverse troop makeups so you get the explore and learn the other troops. (You can save up to three army designs, including spells, and train them with the click of the button).

Whether Dominations would implement specific features like this, it does show that the CoC developers recognize the importance of a quick turnaround time between attacks to keep players involved in the game. In their current states I could probably launch around 8 CoC attacks in the time it would take me to launch 2 Dominations attacks.

I have not played CoC since I started this game. Have they implemented surviving troops returning? That has always been something I liked about dominations

Stop killing your troops, and you wouldn't have to retrain them. :)

I just solved the world's problems. You are welcome. :p

*btw, so I don't get trolled at, that was complete sarcasm. Unfortunately, I send my troops into suicide missions more often than I would like....

This seems like such a brilliant idea, yet so simple to implement. I hope nexon is listening! :D
