University change that may be very beneficial

Hey guys, Seraph back with another topic for possible changes to the game.

How do you guys feel about this:

Allow for the ability to multiple upgrades going on the same person. Why can't I have all my builders on Leonardo da Vinchi? The way the University currently is only cheaters have everything maxed out and sure, you don't everyone to have everything maxed out but it would allow a more reasonable time frame for maxing the leaders and if people like a specific leader they should have the option to dive deep into their tree.

I would also say lower the time but at this point I feel it would be unfair to the players who spent months in there just waiting to give it easier to new people. There could possibly be more events like the Amelia one where everything was half off and maybe if for an old leader have it be half train time too. Just some thoughts. Thanks for listening and I can't wait to see feedback!

So one could rush King Sejong, get his capstone, and reduce the worker cost of all further research? Not fair to everyone who did it the hard way

I wouldn't mind if this ability was implemented, but I have a lot more important things to do apart from the University, so I can live without it, too

Uni is more important than people give it credit for. Hold the gates among other things ad so much to your attack. HT with 30% extra health and damage have absurd survivability and damage. something around 52k health mk6. Not to mention 30% stronger walls is great better than leveling all walls up by one level (from like 9 to 10 or whatever).

i have said before and i will say it again, University is by far the most outrageous idea they implemented in this game.

not only it artificially created worker shortage, ridiculously long research time, it also created tons of confusion in game play since there is no external indicator how far your opponent is in research. You will only realize this watching game replay in disbelief that their defense swarm out and decimate your attack forces in seconds.

I tend to agree with some of the comments. To make that drastic change now is unfair to existing players that have been upgrading. I believe the developers recognize the issue because newer leaders have shorter training times. I'm OK with the university as it stands.

It is confusing why university doesn’t increase your level like library. It makes the persons level even more meaningless.

Maybe we could have a uni level attached to our accounts alongside our exp level. Gain a level for every step in uni but without saying which ones are complete.
E.g. a player at level 234 with a uni level of 123, while it says they have done 123 pieces of research it might all be in Hiawatha and Mansa Musa. At least you can decide off of that maybe to attack with a bit more backup as it could always be all Saladin with Hold the Gates.

I would suggest to completely remove long-term leaders from the university. As for "unfair for those who had put more effort" - in every game there should be an easy way for the newcomers to catch up with the long-time players, otherwise the game would eventually die because of the lack of the new players. And as for "efforts" anyway - you were not working, you were playing, right?

It's more important to move faster to a new age rather than be stuck for years getting extra x% to your walls.

Why is it new players are always wanting to have things easier?
There are plenty of candy crush type games out there if this one is too hard.

So this idea is considered drastic but adding 1 extra research in the library and armory wasn't? You fail to realize that for every 1 higher age person who doesn't think it is fair there are thousands of new players that will use it.
IF this were implemented it wouldn't be free they would charge crowns per leader.

There will be a new feature in v6.2 release which will be kinda like that. It will show only at the end of the battle though. Below is what BHG said:

We’re also working on a feature to allow a player to better track all the benefits they’ve earned from buildings like the Library and University. Tentatively titled Boost Details, this new window would allow a player to review all the buffs their buildings and troops are currently receiving and where those buffs are coming from. After a battle, a player will also be able to review what temporary buffs they have active and what buffs their enemy had for that battle. This should allow a player to see why a base was stronger than they were expecting and potentially figure out which buffs they should invest in to strengthen their troops.

or you can actually trying putting in the effort yourself - you would not be working, you’d be playing right?

Well, personally I think University labors should be cut down by half, but the resource require increase 3, to 10 times. The time to research increase 10-20% if needed. The purpose is not to reduce amount of work in research but reducing the grinding feeling, make players put more effort searching for resource.

I've been playing this game for two years, and I, personally, want things to be faster for newcomers, so that I would have more aa players in my alliance and more aa players to fight with, and not just another classic age starters who will drop the game in next month.
P. S. The only effort that you put in the game is that you downloaded it earlier than the others.

Yeah it's not that newcomers want it easy but that there's no practical way to catch up to people in this game. I used to suggest this game to people back before the University and even for about a year after the university but now of days, especially with cwa being able to attack global age and such, some cwa person who has been playing for 3 yrs with like 70% to 100 % on some uni trees would stomp a semi new global or atomic age person and there's nothing they can really do in return.

Or more importantly the people who put a ton of money in the game / cheat will have even more advantage over people who put a little money in or no money. Like people who skip all the wait times on everything have stupidly high uni skills which benefits them greatly and people who cheat have lv 60 generals (plural) and all sorts of other goodies that are barely attainable by like 99.9% of people.
