As part of our constant work to improve and refine DomiNations over time, our next update will bring DomiNations into Unity 5. Unity is the development platform that great games run on like Dominations. This was necessary as Unity 4 is no longer a supported version as of January 2016. Additionally the upgrade to Unity 5 provides a significant number of performance improvements and new features. This upgrade will give us more opportunities to make some technical improvements that we feel will greatly improve the game!
While this upgrade brings many great things to the game, it regrettably reduces the number of devices that can access the game as Unity 5 no longer supports all of the devices Unity 4 supported. This is not something we can bypass as the entire game is built within this engine and it's not possible to make these devices compatible. Thankfully, this is mostly limited to a small number of devices that use the nVidia Tegra 2 GPU.
We're deeply sorry for what is certainly a frustrating situation, but the benefits will be great and allow us to continue to improve and enhance DomiNations moving forward.
