I would like a log of when I built/upgraded buildings, when I researched troops and technologies, and when I advanced ages. When I changed alliances would be nice too. It could be a simple text list, or it could be a "video", with buildings popping up on the map (based on the current base layout), and messages appearing showing the research and the date. Civilization had something like this showing the growth of your empire, and it was fun to watch.
Of course I don't want to distract the developers from other requested features (cough war replays cough), so I'd be happy with the simple list.
Why do I want this? Sometimes it helps to review the timing of past actions when making decisions, like when to advance to the next age.
