Upgrade options

It would be nice to have multiple options when upgrading. For instance, a choice between using 3 workers for 10 days or 6 workers for 5. These long build times are frustrating and I would be happy to use more workers for less time.

I agree! you can even introduce research during the industrial age that would improve worker productivity. I think that age would be perfect considering the huge boost in manufacturing during that time period.

I personally am against the idea as it would be somewhat difficult for newer players to know how many workers they should put in what, which could potentially drive them away.

Yes that is a potential issue. Perhaps only allow it starting in Gunpowder Age. By then most players know what they are doing.
