Guys, this isn't as crazy as it sounds.

Let me paint you a scenario here... level 260 base, mostly level 15 walls with a few level 16s... Workers are all busy, except one left spare to build walls...

All oil-funded research is being done in the background. No free research slots for two weeks...

Am eating through food & gold, as fast as I can steal it, to upgrade my remaining level 15 walls...

But am currently sitting on 200,000 oil. Heck, I'd be happy to use that oil stockpile to speed up my wall upgrades. So long as it was a choice to use food, gold or oil.

The only risk I could see is if Nexon made it so that the highest level walls were costed in only oil? That's a definite no thanks. But they wouldn't do that.

What am I missing...?

Haha, it's a bad place to stand. Certain folks might knife you, lol... I take the point that 9/10, we're gonna upgrade walls with food & gold. That's what I'm doing now... But for the 1/10 situation, like now, when I have oil but no way to use it, what's the harm in being able to use oil too? So long as there was always a choice to use food OR gold OR oil... never just oil

You mean, if players could use oil to upgrade walls, fewer players would have big oil stashes?... which would make oil looting less effective for all of us?... Ok, I get it now... Oil for walls is a bad idea. Please don't do it. Genuinely... I need my oil raids large

Oh actually all we need is to push the devs to get us another way to spend our resources. Trading them via Marco Polo, or through alliance market/trade center?!
